Gated community. Private security guard. Ring doorbell and floodlights, small arsenal. My next door neighbor is VP at ADS and has 4k night vision in 360 sound the entire perimeter of his house, and can get clear plate tags at roughly 250’ on Main Street.
His shite is legit. But when your company had DoD contracts, it’s to be expected.

Put a small sign on your doors that states;
"Trespassers will be shot

Get the nest doorbell and an extra nest cam for you backdoor. They will notify you of motion and capture video that is stored on the cloud if you pay the $5/month.

I just put a lorex system on my house... it’s wired power over Ethernet...so far it’s been great

We have the Ring and love it.
Yes it hardwires to existing doorbell to provide power and it uses the existing chimes.
We also have Arlo cameras around our house. The Ring makes spotlight cameras that are motion activated. They’re nice.
For that we just went with a regular motion-sensored flood light.
