Did you do the 7 day trial, then cancel, then pay for it? Trying to figure out if I can do that, want to get it but want to wait until my directv is cut off.

Piggy backing off his question, if you do that do you need to register for another account?

I don't know for sure but wouldn't think so.

It's probably just a matter of reactivating the old one.

You all have just about talked me into cutting the cord with PS Vue. I'm sure this has been addressed somewhere previously but do you all recommend any specific internet speed for cord cutting? My internet service is with Charter if that helps.

I have Uverse 15meg connection. Last night I had 2 Fire TVs and a Fire Stick all running lat the same time and experienced no issues of consequence.

Today marks a week since we dropped Direct TV and we haven't missed anything.

I got my antenna mounted last night and catch 36 Channels so we should be set.

Which antenna did you use? I will most likely make the jump, but I need to get an antenna to catch the local channels. Going to start the Vue trial tonight if it's still available.

I have a Clearstream 4v. Caught an open box deal at Best Buy for $103, reg $169 I think.

I am in Houma, located about 48 miles from the towers in Nola. I have a buddy from Thibodaux who tested my antenna at his house and he was only able to get about 26 channels from his house and was missing CBS I believe. With that being said, make sure you test before you start hard mounting.

Mine is mounted outside to the post of an awning. It's about 16 ft up.

Just keep an eye on your bandwidth usage. Isn't Uvserse capped at 250 GB a month? You could easily top that in a week or two with 3 devices going.

I did the 7 day trial, canceled, and re signed up. It's all on the same PSN. Just log in with your PSN ID and re-sign up

Well, add me to the list of users OP. I've only been messing with it for 30 minutes and I've decided to cancel cable. Appreciate the info here.

I did trial, it expired, and I signed back up a day later. Frankly, the only problem was finding the way to sign back up since all the links went straight to sign up for a trial. I think I had to do it actually in my PSN account.

Yea the website is shite. If I was making my decision on whether to try vue based solely on the site I prob wouldn't have pulled the trigger. Thankfully I had the good people of TD to discuss with. I just finished my 7 day trial so I'm on day 8. Zero complaints so far. I just haven't decided how I'll spend my extra $80 a month yet.

Yeah, this was a trial just to see how it would perform when pushed hard. I don't see us using more than two at a time, and we typically only run it more than one for a max of an hour or so a night.

As far as the cap goes, I think with the new att plans I'll be at 600, but will double check.

A big part of getting the antenna going was To be able to use it for "background tv" so to speak.

In regards to usage, what is the best way to track that? I assume I can go to the uverse website and get that data.
