I just ordered the pixel 2xl this morning and the delivery date is October 30th. Did you perhaps order the panda version? That may be why your wait is a lot longer.

Yes I did...just couldn't pass on that one. So unique looking.

I understand. I put cases on my phones so color is really pointless for me.

I used to be the same way. Then I dedicated myself to going naked for a week with my S7, and I couldn't go back to a case.

Flagships are too good looking nowadays

I'm deciding between the S8 and the Pixel 2. Was dead set on the pixel until it came out. I don't love the looks of it compared to the Samsung, and while they're pretty close in terms of specs and performance, I do like having the headphone jack, and the screen on the S8 kicks arse.

They're about the same size so that's not really pushing me one way or the other.

The thing that is giving me a bit of pause is the cost. From Verizon the S8 is still more expensive than the Pixel, and Google is throwing in a Home Mini ($50 value). Amazon has the S8 for $625, but I was hoping for the coral blue. Decisions decisions...

I'm thinking about that pixel 2 also. I need The Egg to give us an AZN review.

If you are going pixel you might as well go pixel 2xl. I can give you my full review once mine comes in but it won't be for a couple of weeks.

And my review is better than egg's because he's just going to tell you to go with the xiaomi mi mix 2 no matter what.

Yeah pixel is sold out and only $100 cheaper than 2 on Google play. I wasn't considering that.

Does pixel 2 use the same type of Sim card as previous androids?

Have you had a Samsung before. I have an s6 now on att. My issues are tons of bloatware, and super slow updates. Android n came out in October of 16 and I didn't get it until July 17.

I ordered a pixel 2 in white. I ordered it on launch day and it said estimated delivery of Nov 17th. I am very excited about the pure Android experience and fast updates. Hoping to keep that phone for at least 3 years.

I will miss the headphone jack, even though I use Bluetooth 90% of the time.

It comes with an adapter. Just keep it attached to your headphones

I have an S6 now (verizon), and no real complaints other than a few quirky issues with some functions. Definitely more bloatware, but you can fine tune that to shut down what you want to.

With an adapter on the pixel you can still used wired headphones and charge at the same time, so thats less of an issue than I thought it would be, but I clearly need to keep thinking about this.

The pixel 2 just has too big of bezels imo for a 2017 phone. That's why I think if you are considering the pixel line you should look more at the 2xl than 2.

No. Just going to risk it. I will put a minimal case on it and and possibly a screen protector. Somehow I've managed to not crack a phone in almost 5 years.

I don't mind the bezels at all. I like smaller phones, that's really my deciding factor between the 2 and 2xl. From a purely aesthetics standpoint, I do think the 2xl looks better, but I prefer easy one handed use.

same. To this day the most prefect size phone I've ever had was the nexus 4

Did this with my S8. Too hard to hold onto. Dropped and cracked within a week. Back with the case. As far as bloatware download BK Disabler and that problem is over with. Overall I'm happy with the S8 but I miss my 6P. Would go back to it in a heartbeat if the screen wasn't shattered.

sold my iPhone and am using my nexus 4 until the pixel 2 gets here. If it was faster and had a better battery life and has more than 8 gigs I'd still be using this thing
