Picture TVs

May also be called Flush Mounted TVs?
I own 4 Hisense TVs right now. Haven't had any issues with any of them in almost 5 years. I see they make a "Canvas TV" which I suppose is the competitor to the Samsung Picture TV. Are there any other brands that do this as well?
I really like the idea of not having a large wall mount on my wall. In all the years taht I have had a wall mount, I've never had the need to reposition the TV.
Also, between QLED and Mini-LED, which one offers a better picture in terms of brightness, clarity, and black colors? Is there anything new out?

Samsung frame is still the king but the picture quality isn't oled or anything.
It's the one connect that makes it so good. Thin mount, yes... But the real fun is having your inputs on a box that sits 15' away in a hidden cabinet.

It's not what?
If there is a better option than the Samsung, you need to say what it is. This board does not need to turn into tRant or the OT.
If you're just agreeing it isn't OLED, carry on

Picture TV is the wrong term, which is probably why you got that option when you searched, if that is what you did. Frame TV or Picture Frame TV is the correct term.

nobody can touch the one-connect technology. anything else is a standard tv that you have to take off the wall or use an extended mount that you can reach behind to try & fish hdmi and usb cables into the back inputs.
the one connect is what makes the frame...wall art. without that you just have a thin tv with a bunch of stupid inputs on the back you have to constantly fool with.
ETA, if i want to download a shitton of free art formatted for the 4K frame, i just plug a random usb drive into my PC, download 700 pieces of art; pull it out and open the credenze near the tv and plug it into the one connect box and i instantly added tons of art to my TV. i do this all the time..i can't imagine trying to get behind the tv each time i wanted to pull the usb stick off or put it back on.
one connect is the civilized connection system all tvs should have adopted in some way a decade ago. inputs you can't see or get to behind the tv and adds a bunch of cables & crap is so outdated.

PQ
if you intend to use this to watch Project Hail Mary in 4K dolby vision/hdr10/atmos, then yep. its not gonna do that.
for gorgeous presentation of artwork on a matte display that you can't tell is a real tv and occasionaly watching the news, a sitcom, LSU baseball or The Simpsons..100%.
nobody is using a samsung frame for the centerpiece of a home theater. it serves a purpose and does what it was designed to do very very well.

quote:splitting hairs a bit. not every tv sitting on the shelf for purchase is designed as a high-end home theater.
But i'm not wrong
there are displays for all types of uses and samsung saw a need for people who are 'casual' tv viewers and don't want an ugly-arse black reflective rectangle on the wall all day.
so you're defining 'pq' as a do-it-all-home-theater which includes a specialized room space, custom audio and seating?
i'm not sold on your argument unless you think someone on this board is wanting to use a tv that is designed to loook like someone hung a piece of art on the wall for their sole entertainment hub.

OP heavily implies it's not an art installation.
