Debating it. My S8 has a cracked screen. It costs 300 to fix it.

I'm debating replacing my S7 with this or wait until October for Pixel 3.

Is the OP5T still available?

What is this button? Is this a button that allows one to go from ring to vibrate only with a flick of the switch, i.e. found on Apple phones?

I ask, because I long for this on my original Google Pixel XL (1st generation).

Edited to ask ...

Who is the manufacturer of this phone? Will this phone receive updates, aka Google Pixel, first? Or does it have to go through the phone's manufacturer and then eventually get released?

How much of an upgrade / downgrade is this phone when compared to Pixel XL (1st generation)?

I'm reading that it is somewhat of a downgrade from the OP5T.

Just ordered the 8/128 version. I've been needing a new phone for quite some time, hope it works out.

Ring volume slider. It's amazing.

OnePlus.

They are very good about updates and the UI is very close to stock Android and runs very very smooth. Also, I am on OREO 8.1 already when the phone was released in November of last year (OnePlus 5T).

Easily the best phone I've ever had and will probably not go back to another.

They are still updating their OnePlus 3T.

Just got a Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 a few months ago for $380, but this one does look pretty good. The camera is the only complaint I have on the Mi Mix 2 (though the Mi Mix 2S supposedly has a much better camera)

It lacks waterproofing, wireless charging and has a shorter battery life than the OnePlus 5T. In the US, the phone doesn't work on CDMA carriers like Verizon and Sprint.

Dash charging has kept me from going to OnePlus for years. I'm already dedicated to QuickCharge.

They are pretty "water resistant" but just don't have the IP rating.

Shorter Battery life is probably due to the larger screen.

They've never had CDMA.

Will this work with at&t service? I like the Xiaomi.

I don't think there is a phone that doesn't work on GSM.

Correct me if I am wrong- I am a OnePlus 3 user- but for me, it is a 3-way selector for volume, vibrate, silence. There are some stock and aftermarket serious e that can change it a bit (ring, silent, flashlight...ring all, ring important, vibrate...) There's more than just ring/quiet to it.
Coming from iPhone to Android, I found this feature so useful. I picked up a Pixel XL to use with Project Fi eventually hut used it as my daily phone for a few months. I literally switched back to the OP3 for this slider.

Whoever wrote that article is wrong. While the phone won't work with Sprint and Verizon (officially), it will work with US Cellular (a CDMA/LTE provider).

Somewhat. It won't support WiFi calling or, more importantly, VoLTE.
