I know this topic is discussed endlessly, and always will be, but I don't have a clue where else to go for good answers.

I've been on Cox for years for the simplicity, but the cost sucks.

Hoping to move to new house in about a month.

Desires:
Solid, fast internet
Netflix, and such
Sports options (NBC, CBS, Fox, ESPN, preferably SECN). Really the only sports I watch is football.
Music video channel(s)would be a great option.

Is there one provider that I get those (other than Cox?)
How's Eatel?
Other options?

Thanks for your patience and help!!

It is going to 100% depends on your exact location.

Is it new construction? Some new neighborhoods may only have one option.

Eatel is solid

EATEL for internet. I pay $69 a month for 150 download speed.

TV, find a streaming provider. YouTube TV or Hulu. If still wanting "conventional" TV, Dish Network is the best option for this (better equipment, same channels and usually less than DirecTV).

I've had Eatel fiber for over 10 years now and can count on one hand how many issues I've had. Most were taken care of over the phone or within a day onsite.

God I forget that prices vary so much by city and state.

Not many things are cheaper in Austin, but I pay $50 a month for 500 Mbps up and down.

Eatel is the easy choice here.

How can Cox be so much more expensive for far less?

thanks for the suggestions. Eatel looks like the starting place for sure.

Looks like a matter of keeping the TV part under control to be able to save much at all.

My Cox bill for TV/internet is just above $200/month. I've never had an issue with it in the 3 years that I've been in this location.

Eatel is $99 for their best internet. Their TV package basic is about $37, and then better at $54 and their premium at $99. So not much different than Cox on the TV side.
