Best Buy has 3 cheaper TV's that Im looking at. Will be used to watch Sports. Need decent speaker volume. Glare is somewhat of an issue. I had an Insignia 55 but it crapped out.

TCL Class 4...$300.00
LG...UN7000...$380.00
Samsung UN6900...380.00

What do you think? All have pretty good ratings.

and so easy. so so easy. plug it in and enter your login to a couple apps and you're done.

i love not having to connect any other devices or string cable or anything.

plug in the power, done.

For my outdoor space, I bought a cheap Samsung from Costo that was a smart TV with built in Apple TV software...I used to the Samsung interface so I went with them.

I bought a cheap TCL for outdoors and got the 5 year geek squad warranty. Already had the board replaced once. Just bring it inside when they come to fix it.

Just bought one for my outdoor patio. Walmart has it online for $279.99. Works very well. Speakers are fine. You can use your phone as a remote (not sure how common this is for smart tvs, but it's a nice feature).

You can also use a Bluetooth speaker with it to beef up the volume.

Are most TVs compatible with Bluetooth (with no delay) these days?

Not sure if it's popular on this board or not but Rtings.com is a good resource. I went with the LG 7000 for viewing angles. But the biggest factor for outdoors is if the panel can get bright enough or not. I didn't think it would be as big of a deal because my tv is fully under my back patio but the ambient sunlight still makes it hard to view on a sunny day.

How is the glare on the TCL? Just tried to throw an old plasma under my well-covered patio and the glare was out of control. I’m looking into the TCLs but want to make sure I’m not buying something that is going to have the same problem.

rtings.com covers this for TVs they rate and score it so you can compare I believe.

Just did the deep dive on rtings and it looks like dome53 has the right answer with the LG. Great combo of reflection handling and viewing angles for a budget outdoor tv. Thanks for the suggestions!
