Needing a new laptop and looked at a couple, would like some input/suggestions

My current laptop is 7-8 years old and some things are starting to fail (certain keys on the keyboard, USB port). It has a 2GB dedicated graphics card and I ran dxdiag with the following result:
I want to go a similar route with a new laptop regarding a dedicated graphics card with 6GB and I saw these 2 that are in my price range. I'm an occasional gamer and would like to do some video editing.
ASUS - ROG Zephyrus 14" Gaming Laptop - AMD Ryzen 9 - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 - 1TB SSD (Windows 11) $1,549.99 LINK
GIGABYTE - 15.6" 4K OLED Creator Laptop - Intel Core i7-11800H - 16GB - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 1TB SSD (Windows 10) $1,399.99 LINK
Which would be best or can you suggest one better within those two price ranges?

Id probably go with the ASUS. They Zephyrus is well received, and maybe the Gigabyte is as well I just don't know anything about it. Hardware being very similar, on the main differences (cpu and display), I think I prefer the ASUS 1080p and 144hz display with Ryzen 9 CPU over the Gigabyte maybe more impressive 4k OLED but also only 60hz display with Intel i7 CPU.

Thank you for the input. I haven't kept up with tech that much since my last laptop.

The last I purchased was an MSI gaming laptop.
I7 2.8ghz
16gb ram
2 drives: 1 TB and 1 250gb
$850 or so.
No idea on video since I bought it for work to run some heavy modeling.

Asus and gigabyte are the same company now I believe. Asus is the more premium line for their motherboards, where as giga is a notch down. Both are quality parts though.

I would go with the Asus, we use laptops with graphics cards for work. Asus had had a good product lately. The MSIs are not what they used to be from a build quality standpoint. We are currently using Alienware. Fantastic computer as well. Asus would by my choice

Thanks. Yeah, I wasn't sure about MSI as I saw those and Alienware. I didn't want to go above my budget for Alienware as I will use the Asus for as long as it can play games decently, then use it for general use until it starts to fail.
One thing I overlooked was it doesn't have an ethernet port. I've been watching a video and the reviewer mentioned getting a USB C dock that would have just about every type of port on it. I've looked at a few of them and looks like I would be set to go with one.

I'm part of what seems like a general consensus on the Asus. Most of my desktop components are asus, my wife's laptop is asus and my work laptop is asus. In my opinion they make the best hardware on the market right now at a reasonable price point. I use a USB c dongle with an ethernet and 3 USB ports built in. Speed tests show a negligible reduction in up/download speed. It's near gigabit on LAN. It's the uni brand I found on amazon.
Also, if you're playing games or doing any type of video production or graphics, that 144hz screen will make all the difference in the world.
Grats on the new machine!

Don't, good thinking. You're paying for marketing and a name with those.
My next one will be an Eluktronics with water cooling, but that seems to be outside of your needs.
