Do wireless cams -- say four total -- noticeably affect Wi-Fi speed?
No, especially not if they're only sending data on motion.
But even if all four were streaming video 24/7, you probably wouldn't notice any wifi speed issues.

I’d avoid anything with a battery unless you can avoid it. Battery operated cameras are a temp solution in my opinion.

That's awesome???
My plan is to use floodlight cameras. That way I can run a camera using existing wiring.

This sounds like best case scenario, yet still a huge pain in the arse considering we're talking about exterior cams.
Even ignoring the cost of the batteries (which is, what, like $12 for a set of standard or $50 for rechargeables?), you'll presumably need to break out the ladder to change them (and if you don't need a ladder, maybe you should rethink the placement of your exterior cams), and if you've got 4 cams then you're doing this once a month on average, best case.
I have enough devices that absolutely need batteries, so if I have something that stays in a fixed position, I'm going to give it wired power. As a bonus, if you use PoE (and you should), then you've got hardwire data too. Even though using wifi won't really impact your network too much, wired is still more stable and not prone to blockage or interference.

Just updated my thread after having my system up and running. I have zero complaints about the equipment. It exceeded my expectations. Easy setup as well.
If i had to complain it would be customer service. Not the actual service, that was good! But it's tough to get a hold of someone.
