Looking for an IT guy for contract work

We have a small successful company without an IT tech, but realize the need to have one to turn to. Anyone interested in contract work? We want to use Microsoft Teams/Asana and know the limitations are boundless but don't have time to figure out all the possibilities. We also want to improve efficiency by eliminating mundane tasks, or automation.
We also need a computer geek to turn to when in a crisis.
The last contractor we used is now an employee of our company.
Yes, I have already watched a ton of YouTube videos for help.

Where are you located and do you need someone local or remote?

The Northshore. I prefer local but will consider remote.

Translation: we wanted to hire someone, but they wanted 70k to do this internally..We would like to offer 12k and get what we pay for

Your goal should be to have one full-time on payroll, so you don't end up in a crisis. In today's IT landscape, if you are in a crisis, it is probably already too late.

Will probably cut into their millions of profit

You guys crack me up.
We treat our employees far better than any big company out there. We pay health insurance premiums 100% and give them top of the line plan, Profit Sharing Pension (SEP), and pay our employees well for their potential, performance, and pay bonuses throughout the year. We also put our employees in 4 or 5 star hotels for travel with private transportation (because Uber is for losers) no matter the position.
What we have received in return from our employees is loyalty, sincere appreciation, ownership and hard work, which has made the business even more profitable. One employee embraced this and is making a ton of money at age 25.
Anyone with IT experience would be foolish not to heavily consider this job. Less hours, less stress, no tool bags looking over your shoulder, a cool boss who bleeds purple and gold, no backstabbing co-workers, work remote.
I came to TD because I was hoping to find someone with similar Southern values and not some laid off wacko from Twitter or Amazon. I don't want to go through Indeed, and I want to test drive the employee for a few months before we offer a lucrative position.
Thanks for the advisement.

you 100% did not lay it out in a way that anyone here would jump on..Notice my comment regarding salary, nailed it..
this sounds like a place that makes fun of the IT nerds but then needs them to set up signatures in outlook..
We've all had the Louisiana interview with people like yourself and that's why we all work remote for out of state companies now..
good luck in your endeavor, I suggest you find an MSP and roll with them

Your biggest issue (from what I gather from your post) is that you essentially want an entry tech to build up your infrastructure from the ground up, which entry level techs likely won't have the knowledge to do. I don't know what your pay scale is, but you'll likely need an intermediate to senior level tech to do what you need to do.

I don't want an entry level tech. I want a guy who has been through the gauntlet for years and is now burned out because his company keeps working him like a dog. The candidate has been there done that and is ready to enjoy life and use that smart brain of theirs in a low stress environment.

You should probably consider a consulting firm in NOLA to get you all built out. I mean it will probably cost you 100-150/hr but it will be worth it.
Then after that you can hire an IT person local and have the consultant do knowledge transfer and hope the person you hire for 60K a year is smart enough not to F up what they did too bad.

So you are willing to pay 130-150K/yr...didn't get that feeling from the OP....well then that might be possible on the north shore.
It won't happen overnight and you will probably need a robust recruiting strategy.

I can be the fit that you need. I have 25 years of experience in IT and have a few select clients I deal with. If we are a fit I can take you on. How can I get in touch?
I see you posted an email address. I'll email you.
