Last thing, you would get all the channels you would have on Dish/direct/cable?
I literally only need hallmark, cooking, food,ID,tlc and up And with the streaming services they have 2 or 3 or 4 of the m. Since this would be what the wife is watching, i have to make sure she gets her channels. No drv service with these?

i'm not sure....there are something like 800 channels you get and I know you get some of those listed. You get all of the UK channels and I watch Eurosport, their ESPN equivalent, all the time. I also watch BBC news and some other random stuff. Then you get the MLB,NFL,NBA and NHL networks. The only thing I don't get is the SEC+ channel, I do get SEC. No dvr which is the only bad thing.
Here is the Nosleep Facebook. Ask them about specific channels. When you are ready they will give you a free trial.

nfps private server
85 per year
every channel, premiums, sky, all cable channels, sports out of the arse, every NFL ticket channels, mlb extra innings,NBA ticket, every premium sporting event shown live from ufc to boxing etc etc, all vod and several adult channels...98 percent of time it works great...
i used to use kodi on aftv with "pvr stalker" but the epg tv guide wouldn't work sometimes altho it played every channel fine, i had no idea what was playing,I just hated scrolling thru channels and not knowing what was playing unless you actually clicked on that channel, so i did some research and i purchased a "dreamlink t1 plus" box(100 bux) off the net and run "nfps's private server" on it....works amazing, interface is nice and epg tv guide works great...

Can't watch that on the go though.
Get a good IPTV provider, run your own EPG through xtreme-editor, and TiviMate for home and Kodi for on the go. Can still watch live sports on your phone at work and so on that way. And the EPG works great, aside from a few small channels that don't really matter.

never learned how to generate my own epg tv guide ...no need when my dreamlink box has a stand alone epg guide that always works...

I get that, it's just that your options are then limited. You're locked in to one box and if you're not at that tv, then oh well.

I wish my provider kept theirs up to date better. To be fair, they're more concerned with ensuring they have a stream for every possible sporting event every single day. So its kind of understandable.
Making your own EPG has a bit of a learning curve, but once you figure it out you're pretty well set. I need to to back and add channel logos but as little as I actually watch it, it's not that big of a deal.
