Second day with the Tablo and its been flawless, highly recommended. Also nice not to have to hang an antenna off the TV.

So I guess the initial buffering doesn't bother you too much?

No I think there is compromise when you go from coax or HDMI to wireless and this is one of them. The thing that really surprises me is once you get past the intitial 5-10 secs buffering its rock solid.
I bought a refurb off their website for the record, $135
I'll say I am loving Vue but the lack of in app VOD sucks but maybe I am asking too much. I know they have an extensive app login to help with that.

I love the tablo too. It's probably not for "channel surfing" because of the initial load time but once it loads it's amazing quality and no antenna wires to tv is insanely cool

There is a guide on fire stick, apple TV, firetv. I don't know what you and sis are looking at.

I like really like my Tablo and thinks it's a huge player as well in the cord cutting game. It's got a few tweaks I'd like to see changed but there's always something you can complain about with any product.

Tablo is a DVR for your hd antenna. It requires an external hard drive to save to but essentially you save things onto the tablo (which is connected to your network) and then install the tablo apps on your devices to watch it. It's really slick.

I'm considering going to Vue, so I wouldn't really need that i guess, unless I wanted the local channels and to still have the DVR option.
Pretty cool deal, I'll keep that in mind.

To be clear, Tablo allows you to via an app on a streaming device view live OTA TV and record OTA shows

Have you already downloaded it?
I suck at the apple tv remote but if you hit the button with a picture of a monitor on it once or twice, it should bring up all the apps you downloaded

I have a couple of Rokus that I'm really good with. I was given an Apple TV, and I don't do much with it. Admittedly, I actually thought you don't download apps on the Apple TV, and that they all just kinda show up on your homepage, unlike Roku. Oops.

Thanks, i'll give it a whirl today.

Update on the ATV app and when you hold and press on the middle of the touchpad you get a popup and it has short cuts like the guide to go to. Very nice update.

Cool. It's probably the same as when you hold down the top right button on fire TV. Brings up guide, last channel and whatever else.

I still have no clue where to go to download apps.

Do you have the ATV4? If not you can't add apps to it.

In the settings I have it set to auto update the apps.

Does anyone have PS Vue on the new Apple TV?
If so, I'm wondering if the interface is scaled down like that of the Roku, or if you get the full interface with the guide and everything like you do on the PS4 or Amazon Firestick.
