Generally speaking, ads you can skip through are shows that aired and you actually recorded. Ads you can't skip through are on demand shows.
There are a few exceptions to this rule but for the most part that's how it works.

I watch through my PS4 in the living room and firetv in my bedroom.. don't notice a difference. I never have trouble with either. After Vue went away I tried the YTV, HuluTV and Sling free trials. YTV was my favorite so I'm giving them a full month. I wasn't mad at sling though (the blue & orange package,) it was nice having History channel and Comedy Central again.

Does Hulu with live tv have Fox regionals? Didn't think they did.

So now with Fox Sports I have to choose between Hulu Live which is terrible for watching live tv and ATT NOW which is $80/month.

I don't think so but remember when this was our biggest problem? Then China gave us all a crazy flu and then sports ended.
