Well,here's one reason. I just left apple....
If you drive an Infiniti that is newer than 2010 that doesn't have Navi-you're fricked concerning streamimg music from your phone. Bluetooth is phone only, infiniti took out the 3.5mm jack and guess what?? The usb is only compatible with iOS.
I stream my music and dont buy it, not to mention i dont listen to mainstream US music so no radio for me.
I still have my 6. Was going to sell it but i guess im keeping it to use in my car for music only.
Unless someone here knows something i dont. Which is likely

So you're saying you're Infiniti doesn't have Bluetooth at all?
I'm sure you can find a jacket adapter if you cant use Bluetooth

I find that a bigger problem is the service provider. AT&T doesn't let updates go through until and unless they approve them. I just got Marshmallow about a month ago on my Galaxy S5, which I find to still run like new . . . and . . . I can replace the battery when it starts wearing down . . . and I can plug in a micro SD card for additional storage (my primary issues with IOS devices and newer Galaxy phones).

Yes. Only the navi package supports it fully. Mine is phone only through the blue tooth.

I've looked into adapters on an Infiniti forum and everyone that has bought one said it wouldnt work. One guy modified his but that involved taking the center console off and other shite i wont ever attempt.
Sucks.

I still am a little confused. You say it has a USB port. USB is USB. Regardless of phone or computer type.

In simple terms and according to infiniti-the car software (driver) for non navi models is limited to Infiniti recommended devices only.
Infiniti only recommends apple.

That is incredibly strange. Never heard of such a thing. Yeah that would be a good reason to not switch to Android.

This is one of the main reasons I just switched to iPhone. I could get a new phone (I was due for an upgrade anyway) or I could buy a new car.
I got an iPhone and was jacked to plug it into my infinit USB. My USB port stopped working the day before my phone came in, lol. Luckily I'm under warranty
FYI some 2010 ish audis only support iOS. They actually come with only the pre-lightning apple connector and it's in the glovebox. I thought that was pretty strange

It's not true, you can stream via bluetooth. For whatever reason some apps work better than otheers. Spotify works best for me. Issue with Iphone and Infiniti is outbound text, does not work due to some security lockdown apple did.

Ive tried prime pandora and google play. I dont use spotify but can try. Will contact infiniti again and question them about this.
