It's a crap shoot. I ran a VPN for a few years but got lazy and didn't run it and I saw no throttling. I've been without a VPN for over a year now and everything is fine. So while I would recommend a VPN, it's possible you don't need one

Decided to commit and just got everything set up. Loving this so far. It’ll be “fun” to actually watch the saints this year (I’ll probably want to shoot myself by the bye week but still)

For those looking for a cheap and solid choice I recommend Alibaba.con (Not aliexpress)
Set up an alibaba.com account and you can go ahead and setup your PayPal account to speed up payment.
Then go to: https://huhaoxd.en.alibaba.com/
Ans scroll down to the section where you see the pictures and "Chat now" I picked Amber Baby. Pick one and start a chat and ask for a trial.
One thing to keep in mind is the time difference, so depending on when you message there may be a delay or you may get a response in minutes.
They sell several services like Strong8k, Trex, Mega OTT etc. When you ask for a trial and they will provide credentials to test the service or services you are interested in. I think Strong8k is the overall best, but Trex has more catchup channels if you like that. Those 2 are around $32 per year Mega and some of the others are a little over $20 per year.
If you decide to keep the service, let them know and they will message you a PayPal invoice. You can also have them limit the foreign channels or adult channels etc. to keep the playlist more manageable or if you are worried a little one will get into the adult section.
Most of the services you see sold all oner the net are just rebadged versions of the ones she offers. They just clean up the EPG and categories and pass it off as their own.

Tivimate is not on Apple TV. Y’all got any other suggestions?
On AppleTV TiviMax is the closest to Tivimate. UHF is good and the AppleTV version of iMplayer is better than the googleTV version.
For anybody trying Sparkle Player on Android I suggest turning on "App mode" in the settings to make it more like Tivimate and easier to use.

I've been without a VPN for over a year now and everything is fine.
Having said that, I just implemented a Mini PC router running OPNsense that uses WireGuard and my VPN service. Yeah, that's a mouthful. Since I'm not a network guy, it was a PITA to figure out but I finally got it going and I'm getting terrific wifi download speeds through my VPN (like 300 - 400 Mbps depending on time of day). I'm very happy with the results.

Tivimate question:
just discovered multiview but when I tried to set it up one of the two “screens” goes black. I can still hover over it and hear it but can’t see anything. Any ideas to fix it?

Can’t answer your question but following. Just switched to Tivimate and it’s so much better than Smarters Pro.

How many connections does your plan allow? You have to have a connection available for each "screen".
Also do you have the paid version of TiviMate? I can't remember but I know the free version has some features locked behind the paywall.
ETA This is a pretty good overview of TiviMate made by a user from Tivimate's Reddit.

So how does the news that google TV will be limiting and auditing sideloaded apps effect things like TiviMate?
You can run a m3u stream through kodi but its not a very good experience compared to the TiviMate interface.

Isn't Tivimate is on the app store? Even so, Google is just requiring a companies identity to be verified and they say they aren't checking on functionality of the app. If this is the case it shouldn't be a big deal.

Thanks! Will the email come immediately or when the service sends it? I don’t have any emails about iptv so I’m curious if it comes right away or not… is the email address.

Tivimate is on the play store so it won’t affect anything

Sorely disappointed in my feed today with RedZone, constant buffering running off of a 4K firestick.
