Some guys on here had a run in with them or something.
I didn't have a run in with them, but I didn't like that I had to use their app which did not allow me to fully use TiviMate (e.g., DVR shows). At first he was fine giving me Xstream codes, but quickly changed his mind. At the time it was also more expensive than most services I've used.

If you're not concerned about any of that then I'm sure it's a great service.

It might have been that you couldn't SMB with it to a NAS. Same end result for me, anyway.

That would be something you’d do through your box, no?

I don’t think an app would stop that, but maybe. Set up your storage, map where to store your DVRed material, share the storage on your network.

I'm pretty sure you have to then connect to the network drive via TiviMate and from what I recall it was locked down. Pretty sure he said it was unavoidable and part of locking down the app so they could administer it better. I accepted his answer -- I don't have to support everyone like he does so whatever works for him.

Being able to use my IPTV service through Plex and have shows DVR'd directly to my TV Shows library is chefskiss

Thanks Touchdown! I'll wait if necessary, because I'm convinced they are a stellar provider and I'm tired of messing, jumping around with others. I'd pay double for a reliable, solid provider!

Exactly! The whole point of IPTV is to escape all the DRM, app lock-dows, and device rules so that everything is open and configurable.

Definitely love the freedom my provider gives me. iMPlayer on my mobile device and I use TiviMate on my TV. Both work flawlessly.

I'm looking to try someone else soon. Their guide sucks. Care to clue me into who you are with?

Anyone have a cool setup for their EPG? I've seen the IPTVboss out there and people say that once you dive into it you'll never go back to normal EPG but I just cannot figure it out. Was wondering if anyone went custom with their EPG and will never look back.

I'm also afraid of spending all that time and then the IPTV playlist resets and I lose all my stuff. I get pissed when it happens and I lose all my favorites.

I looked at IPTVBoss once a while back when I was getting frustrated trying to find some sporting events. The barrier to entry at the time must have been too high because I quickly put it aside. I'm not sure what the case is for it, because I still wasn't sure it would solve my issue. Maybe I was after better icons because at the time my provider's EPG sucked.

Which provider is td approved this season? As a Virginia tech fan the laggy streams actually improved my experience by making me miss countless penalties and mind numbing mistakes but hopefully this year it will actually be fun to watch again…
