You’ll love this then. Sparkinson editor was perfect for live tv. This guy is putting in serious work.
To get VOD correct, I put m3u into mediaflow proxy, then use vibe coded python script to parse and build out plex/jellyfin library from proxied m3u, then use vibe coded inject.sh to add 2 seconds of subtitle to force jellyfin to transcode/proxy so stream is available externally. Prefect library now.

I've been running flawlessly with Dispatcharr and Plex. I don't need any VOD stuff since I either record the TV shows directly with Plex or Sonarr will grab any latest release for me to add to my 10TB+ TV show library

I've been using trilotv since August and it has been great. It's not the cheapest IPTV option out there but I haven't had a single buffer issue.

Just get an ONN box or a shield, get a service, and that’s it.

Yeah, you can watch locals, and everything else. You can set up a DVR with an external
Hard drive.

All in on equipment, you can get away with spending like 100 bucks. I don’t see a reason to DVR with what I have, but to each is own.

I am not always home when what I want to watch plays. Can I go to network channel and watch previous episodes that I missed without DVR? I have internet I guess the service is a IPTV. Can you send me an invitation. to the one you recommend. I have my email in previous post.

No I meant you’d love that I managed to make VOD even more complicated than live somehow.
Didn’t take anywhere near as much time though.

Also had TV streams drop 3-4 times today despite being double proxied. That normal for a Saturday? Been solid all week until today. Using PIA which I think is same as ipt.

I’m interested in giving this a go, but I’ve— frankly— no idea wtf I’m doing. Based on this thread and some other reading, my main takeaways are:

1. Choose the streaming platform I want to use (seems like Tivimate is the consensus here)
2. Get a streaming device based on the platform you choose
3. Subscribe to an IPTV source and load the info they provide into the Tivimate settings
4. While a VPN isn’t required, some of the movie content won’t be available unless I’m connected through a VPN

Is that the gist of it?

Yes. Alsoo choose channels on provider site to make it easier to manage in home app.
The 4 services i have tried have all proxied vod streams though same servers as live so VPN wouldn't affect just one or the other but that's only what I have tried.

Can you elaborate a bit? I’m guessing you mean logging in to the provider site and selecting favorites so you’re not going through thousands of options?

Perfect. And this comment reminds me of another question. I’ve seen a lot of you saying you have back up services. Are you literally paying for 2 or more separate IPTV services, or just multiple connections through the same IPTV service in case one connection/channel is struggling?

Yes you dont want to be sorting 500,000 channels on a TV. I doubt people are using multiple services. the cw guys have some weird backup thing though. Not sure.
