I have been using the Pixel 3 for the last two years, and before that I have been with iPhones since the 4. I like a lot of things of both but essentially I love the Apple hardware but I am a fan of googles OS. I have loved my Pixel 3 but it is starting to give me fits with bluetooth and such. I'm trying to decide which way to go on this. Any thoughts would be awesome.

I'm having a similar debate with myself right now. I have the Pixel 3XL. I had the iPhone 4 but only Androids (OnePlus, then Motorola) since. I like the Pixel 3XL but the Pixel 5 doesn't come in the size of phone that I want. I'm trying to decide on just going for the iPhone 12 Pro Max and seeing how I like Apple or waiting another year to see what the Pixel 5a or 6 looks like.

That was my original plan was to just hang on to my 3 and see what the 5a or 6 looked like. But I can't take the issues I'm having anymore. They arent bad phone still works very well, its just an annoyance. Really struggling with what to do haha.

I picked up the Pixel 4a 5G once Google Fi offered it for $350.

I canceled my Pixel 4a subscription order. The Pixel 5 just didn't seem like a must have so I was looking to wait out for next generation. I figure at what phone prices are at, you're paying about $200 a year for a phone.

The 4a subscription is $215 over two years or $100 a year. The $350 4a 5G would be $175 a year of usage.

Those were prices I was willing to pay to wait. Wouldn't even minded much if one year into Pixel 4a subscription that I'd be obligated to keep paying if Pixel 6 or whatever came out, it's all the same to me.

But once 4a 5G deal came I jumped at that and it should be fine for two years.

I see no reason to get rid of my 3xl, which is why Google is offering big discounts if you trade in your old 3xl.

Apple offered $80 for the 3XL and it looks like Google is offering $225. I'd probably keep it as a back up or replace one of the other phones on my account with it.

Google fricked me on my last trade in. I traded in an OG Pixel XL and they said I was getting $150 or something like that. They gave me like $20. It had nothing wrong with it except possibly a dead battery when I sent it in.

Verizon is offering 550 trade in for my Pixel 3 as a 23 dollar credit over two years if I trade it in for the 5.

IMO, it's hard to justify the Pixel 5 compared to other midrange android phones.

Have you looked into the S20? I didn't think I'd go back to Samsung after being with Google Pixel 2xl. I haven't liked any of the Pixels after it. I decided to try the S20 and I love it. The screen and hardware are nice. The UI is much better than when I had it before. You should check it out.

I currently have a Note 9 but it's time to upgrade. That 12 Pro Max looks slick but I've always been intrigued by the pixel fam. The pixel 5 screen is 6" but if there was an XL option coming out with it, it would almost be a no brainer.

I had the pixel 3xl and 4xl and both phones had speaker phone issues like it wasn't useable. I found that odd, I went back to the Note series and got a Note 20 Ultra and I love it. There was rumors of google releasing a flagship phone next year if you wanna stay with a pixel I'd wait for that. Pixel 5 seems like just a throwaway year nothing special. Iphones are pretty much the same phone every year that gets a camera upgrade and maybe a new hardware design.

I was just given a Pixel 3 as a work phone. My god this thing is the biggest piece of shite I have ever held in my hand. Had it for three months now, my opinion has not changed. Calling this thing garbage is an insult to garbage everywhere.

I went from the Pixel 3XL to the Pixel 5. The battery life on the 5 is insane and I like wireless charging. The screen size isn't that bad because the bezels are almost non existent. I also like this size because it is easy to manage with 1 hand.

The wife has the 12 Pro Max. Thing is a damn brick. It's heavy as hell and a massive phone. Not a fan.

What do you think about the speaker under the screen?

It's not the best but it works fine. I use pixel buds 90% of the time though.

Have you checked out the Pixel 4a 5G? They were offering $295 trade in for a 3XL, but I'm not sure when it expires.
