I have been eyeing the fairway woods. I recently did a fitting at Br Edwin Watts for a new driver, I tried the Qi10, AI Smoke, Darkspeed, and G430. Was hitting the AI smoke and G430 well, the fitter then handed me one and said don’t look at it, just hit it. I was smoking this thing down the middle every time, much more consistent and forgiving than the others were for me. I flipped it around and it was the Dynapower Carbon. May not be the flashiest thing but I have absolutely loved it. Was also 100 bucks cheaper than the other top market drivers. I am no disappointed by it at all, looking at a new fairway wood and hybrid.

So awesome to see North Caddo with some real talent. We were terrible when I was in high school haha. The catch off the ground he had last night was just stupid.

32 y/o male here, was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and spinal stenosis at L4/L5 and L5/S1 at 28. I used poor technique to pickup a miter saw and immediate sharp pain in my back that did not go away. Two month later I woke up to little pain but my legs were semi-numb. Went to an ortho who luckily transferred me to a neuro. I completely agree with everyone else do not trust an ortho please go see a neuro. The orthodox told me “yeah you have the back of a 50 year old, but I will clear you to go play contact sports” did not like that whole interaction at all, the neuro was much better. Prescribed physical therapy which helped a bit, but I saw real improvement when I started Pilates, took a small bit to my pride as I saw it as an old lady exercise thing but man I was incorrect in that thinking. My neuro also prescribed me cymbalta cause it treats diabetic nerve pain, do not go on any of those types of medications without researching it first, I didn’t and now I am trying to ween myself down because the withdrawals suck! I still have pain every now and then but it is usually situational, sitting too long bad posture etc. I have heard of people having their herniations heal over time, I would try and do everything I could before electing surgery as there is no going back at all after you go under the knife.
Current isnt giving me problems yet, but its to the point where I am about to start having to put money into it. 170k miles on it, 2013 but it is still in good shape.
Truck Market
Posted by jtayl71 on 8/26/21 at 11:57 am
I am going to be in the market for a new truck very soon and the truck market right now is just insane. I know I can get a decent amount on a trade in, and used prices are damn near the same as new. I'm curious as to what will happen to prices once this chip shortage is over. Seems to me like everyone will get used to paying these prices so they won't come back down. Thoughts?

What do you think about the speaker under the screen?

Verizon is offering 550 trade in for my Pixel 3 as a 23 dollar credit over two years if I trade it in for the 5.
That was my original plan was to just hang on to my 3 and see what the 5a or 6 looked like. But I can't take the issues I'm having anymore. They arent bad phone still works very well, its just an annoyance. Really struggling with what to do haha.
iPhone 12 or Pixel 5
Posted by jtayl71 on 12/3/20 at 9:45 am
I have been using the Pixel 3 for the last two years, and before that I have been with iPhones since the 4. I like a lot of things of both but essentially I love the Apple hardware but I am a fan of googles OS. I have loved my Pixel 3 but it is starting to give me fits with bluetooth and such. I'm trying to decide which way to go on this. Any thoughts would be awesome.
I have heard that the disc replacements are much better in the neck than in the lumbar due to the fact that the lumbar discs have so much more range of motion and bear so much more weight. But I think they are finally starting to catch up with that technology.
Ive been do Pilates once a week for the past few weeks trying to get that core strength up. That stuff definitely shows you where you are weak, will continue it. Life has gotten hectic here lately so I slacked off on my physical therapy excercises and i have lost a lot of the progress I had made and a lot of my symptoms are returning.
JBM,
Sorry i've never responded on the inversion table. I could only use it for about 5 minutes max and the blood rushing to my head was just too much to take. I found I could last longer on it in the morning than the evening. I had a huge pop on it one night, scared me to death.
How is everyone doing lately?

Haven’t read the whole thread but PT is the only thing that has really helped me. Strengthening your core and stretching.
How long have you been dealing with it?
I'm an engineer, at a desk most days.
The ligament that holds all the vertebrae together which runs down the spinal canal on the opposite side of the spinal cord from the disc. The ligament is called ligamentum flavum and hypertrophy is when a ligament starts to thicken due to over stress or breaking down. So I showed signs of that ligament thickening which enclose on the spinal canal from the opposite side of the disc. So I have so,e central canal stenosis, I can't find hardly anything of anyone having it at mt age, most everything I have found is for people I'm their sixties.

I think a lumbar fusion is in my near future
If you do have it done I wish you the best of luck and I hope it gets you relief.
Just curious, anyone on here also been told they have hypertrophic ligamentum flavum?

I'm glad youre starting to get some relief! Turns out the discs in my neck are fine, but I actually have bone spurs growing which are closing in on the nerve roots in the C3-C4 and C4-C5 area. My PT says that they usually do not see this in people until way later in life he was kind of surprised. He is now adding neck therapy on top of my lower back.
There an exercise with my lower back that you push yourself up into extension while laying on your stomach. well for the past little while I decided to start doing that with my neck as well, thinking it would be good for my discs. Apparently my thinking was incorrect and I may have cause these bone spurs to start acting up by doing that, so hopefully with some neck stretches and excercises I can get this under control too.
Lower back is still in progress, have some days with virtually no pain and then the next with some mild pain.

Awesome, I'm glad to hear that! PT really seems to be helping my lower back as well. Just have to stay in the habit of doing those exercises. I'm reviewing my neck MRI report with my PT tomorrow so hopefully there is something we can start doing with it.
