Ever since 13 came out my phone has been fricking worthless if WiFi is on. It seems to function fine when I turn it off. So now I have to remember to turn on my Wi-Fi when I want to use it.

Dunno about you but "See" is friggin badass!
Not really on See, but even if it is for you it & other slate of shows are not really worth the billions spent or committed to TV+ that could be helping sure up its software (even more so with so many getting service free for a year which is only reason I am subscribed).
Ironically their own software shortcomings cause me to not see most of their shows’ Icons & info in TV app to even be reminded of them or use TV app’s up next with them because they can’t seem to get device restrictions & profiles correct on TVOS. They did at least give us back the option in TVOS 13.3 to switch back to seeing Up Next on top of main screen instead of commercials they have been showing since TVOS 13 was released which helps with watching across multiple supported apps as long as shows fit within restriction settings. At least I can go directly into other apps and still see & then watch any restricted shows (with override code) unlike in Apple TV app & Apple TV+ shows.
Also, IOS 13.3 has made email worse again for me which is strange as I am still using a SE like other poster with improved performance. Has to be something in email settings or account set ups that is causing differing performance with 13.3 on same model of device.

Mine keeps wanting to switch to 2.4 GHz instead of my 5. Its incredibly frustrating.

Quite positive that their TV division/original programming is just outsourced to directors and actors. They're still spending a ton of cash on software. They're also separate from hardware.

That's not an Apple problem, that's a provider problem. As an example, Netflix isn't playing nice with them and won't let Netflix shows go to the Apple TV app. Same thing with YouTube TV.
Take those 2 vs. Hulu or even FuboTV and those 2 apps/content providers *DO* allow their content to be read from the Apple TV Application, including notifications.
For example, I get Apple TV notifications for when Alabama football/basketball is on Hulu. When we tried youtube TV, I only got the notification via Youtube TV but NOT the Apple TV app.
Hope that makes sense but it's provider based, not an Apple TV or Software issue.

Such as what? What's the issue? My email client on my phone is reading my google email and my outlook email. Seems ok to me?

Are you close to your router for 5ghz to be "good"? It might be trying to help you by swapping to your 2.4ghz band if it's reading it as better than the 5ghz band.
For better or worse...

It’s still billion$ better spent elsewhere with 13 and Catalina being very problematic regardless of being separate divisions or outsourced (especially giving it away to people probably buying hardware regardless of free service being included for a year). Even Apple has now admitted they need to change how they release software to avoid bugs that have come up with this fall’s software releases. I think this discussion is where I posted that story a while back.

I am aware of how it works. I specifically mentioned their shows after just responding about Apple TV+ shows. It’s is definitely an Apple issue with their App, their TVOS with device wise restrictions but profiles working only through TV app, and/or their Apple TV+ service not having own app until they clean up restrictions and profile implementations. If rating restricted a rated R movie purchased from iTunes does not show up in TV app at all just like tv shows purchased from iTunes above my rating settings in restrictions, but at least with iTunes purchased movies & shows I can still directly use Movie app & TV show that were kept on TVOS to find & watch with override code just like directly using 3rd party apps like Prime that support TV app to watch show or movie there above rating using a set up override (will still not show on Up Next even with override). I can’t do this with Apple TV+ shows above rating restrictions as I have can only use TV app with service (same with with shows on Apple TV channels using TV app to subscribe & watch to like TV app’s HBO channel). I have to change device restriction settings completely back and forth each viewing or even just to see what’s new above rating. It’s not only a pain, but it also limits me seeing any reminders /ADs in TV app of those particular shows or newly released shows from Apple TV+ with restricted ratings when using TV app for something else.
I am not limited in this way from seeing icon or info for shows or movies using 3rd party apps including ones supporting TV app or even using Apple’s own iTunes Movie & TV show apps still on TVOS just their new service they are spending billions on and giving away for free which is kind of dumb on their part. They need to fix restrictions or better have full profile implementation, but even including a separate TV+ app that lists all available while requiring override code to actually view anything restricted would help temporarily.

Emails have been a problem for many with iOS 13. I referenced earlier poster saying 13.3 finally fixed their issue, and seeing they used same phone it was just strange as after it was slightly improving for myself with same phone over multiple updates to 13 my email reverted back to where it began with 13 after 13.3 update. Thats reason I included, “ Has to be something in email settings or account set ups that is causing differing performance with 13.3 on same model of device.”

Anyone else update to 13.3.1 and their battery life is now horrible? Also, somehow email has gotten worse too.
Posted on 2/10/20 at 10:41 am to brickyard
Email on this last update is terrible. Email threads are unreadable. How is this so hard for Apple to get right?
Posted on 2/10/20 at 12:21 pm to brickyard
Battery life has definitely gone down. I’m not having the email issues others are reporting though.

Yes, I can't make it through the day anymore. My XR was going almost a full 2 days when I first got it. Battery health still shows 98%

I updated mine. Other than a couple of new Memoji stickers, I haven’t noticed much difference yet.
Which is probably a good thing

Yea they didn't say a lot about what the update had for apple tv's, homepods, apple watches, etc.
All I saw was "general stability improvements" and "new emojis" or some crap. Yet the homepod was something like 1.6gigs worth of updates.

Curious. For those of you who use Gmail, do you all prefer the Gmail app or the stock Mail app? I've always used the Gmail app but its been a bit buggy for me as of late.

I use the gmail app for work and the stock app for personal. I’m not having issues with either lately.
