When it comes to live streaming Apple TV is the best out of roku and fire stick. I never had a problem with it.

Specific to DirecTV Now, from what I've seen online it sounds like the buffering issues are concentrated to Roku and Fire devices. AppleTV users seem to have hardly any issue with buffering at all (myself included). I have Cox for Internet only and have had no issues using DTVN wirelessly via AppleTV.

I run into my office and check my computers... BOOM. Internet up and running. I ran a speed test on my office computer - 56MBPS

Just because you are getting 56 on an office computer hooked up to a wire, doesn't mean you are getting the same speed on wireless on your roku. Either upgrade your wireless or hard wire your Rokus.

I've been using D-Now through an Apple TV for a couple months now, and LOVE it.

, but you can get that same lineup right now with DirecTV and uverse internet for around $90 a month.

$90? with just 1 tv and no dvr?

I cut the cord about 2 or 3 years ago. I have quite a few tvs all with rokus or fire tvs on them.
Called Cox recently, and that's the only people I can have internet through so I have zero bargaining power with them, and just wanted to add the basic of cable that gives me ESPN and FoxSports. No boxes, no rentals or anything, just want 1 cable card. I'd have that on a HDHomerun sending all recordings to Plex, and i'd use my login to watch the ESPN and FoxSports app on all my tvs.

After all the fees and crap it was $132 for internet and cable. The internet alone is $84, which is ridiculous, but like I said, I can't negotiate anything better b/c there are no other options. $48 for one cable card and no premium channels? basically the same lineup as all the streaming services, but costs a good bit more?

All I want is access to their cable lineup. I don't even want the cable card. just access to the cable lineup so I can log in to the apps on my tvs. It would be great if that was an option, and wasn't priced a lot higher than the streaming services that are already out there.

No, it's 90 for 4 TV's with whole home dvr. And of course internet. I think AT&T/DirecTV is feeling the burn of cord cutting, and realizing they have to get rid of the BS fees. So they now give 4 TV's for free, and then they start charging receiver fees at box #5

well if true, then that's a great deal.
I still wouldn't take it b/c I will never use AT&T for anything ever again, but that's just me.

I completely understand that. I'm the same way with Comcast. I've had my issues with ATT too, but eventually gotten everything straightened out. But frick Comcast, they won't ever see a dime of my money again

I use Playstation Vue. It's fine. Not as good as the Xfinity cable I used to have, but saving 100 bucks a month is worth it.

It must've just been a special they were running. It's not on their website anymore. Now all I see is price guaranteed for only 12 months and one free hd DVR.

Glad I got it when I did

Here is my latest bill. It doesn't show anywhere on there the number of receivers I have, but I have the 4 receiver genie system. This is for internet 25 (that's the fastest they offer in my area) and the entertainment package in directv

That's a great price. I pay about $97 for DTV alone (whole home DVR + 3 wireless genies, XTRA package). Then another $60 for internet.

Is that an introductory price point you are on? Or is that still the price after the 1st year discount expires?

It is locked in for the full 2 year of the contract. I see now that they got rid of the promotion also, and everything is back to introductory price for only 12 months

When I saw that price, I immediately called. It was the same I was paying for internet/ps Vue streaming. I'm glad I jumped on it when I did. I know I will have a fight in two years to try to keep a good deal, but it's worth it to me for how cheap it is now
