Yes, they work great. Wish it integrated with other devices but I'm sure that's coming.

Congrats on your wife thinking 2.4" is too big :-)
Seriously though, the size is my only concern. The width is 2.4" but the trim around my front door is only 2". If I can't make it look right, I'll send it back.
