1 TV; 1 HD DVR recording 2 channels at once; fewer channels; 50 mbps internet is $140 (after loyalty discount)

4 TVs; whole Home DVR recording 5 channels at once; more channels; better picture; 50 mbps Internet is $90 locked in for 24 months.

Why? 50 is plenty. I never get there even with 3 TVs on Netflix and 3-4 mobile devices and laptops online. Until 4K content is the norm, I don’t need more. You have a TV provider or cord cutter?

You won't be saying that about Uverse internet over Cox's after long. I did like DirecTV a lot though.

Does DirecTV go out during thunderstorms? I’ve been thinking of switching to satellite.

Is the internet itself spotty/shite? I know ATT sucks in general. Not sure how much worse they can be than Cox tbh.

No... uverse internet is fine. I’ve had that same package you have for 3 months now and have zero problems. Not once have I had my service interrupted or slow.

Cox is the devil.

I will say this though; I wish i would’ve payed $10 more for uverse tv. I love DTV but hate the fact that when it rains, goodbye service. It sucks.

This. I've got a couple friends with Direct and all of them swear up and down that it goes out but anytime I'm there, it works just fine.

Sometimes it goes out when a thunderstorm is ripping. The SD channels usually still come through just fine, tho.

I'd assume it's similar to Dish. I reinforced the hell out of my dish bracket so the only time I ever lost signal was when the wind was blowing very hard. Maybe two or three times a year and usually for a short amount of time.

Wait. I have Uverse at home and directv at the camp. When I added Directv tot he camp, they cut off my Uverse, thinking I was adding it to my house. Well, in order to cut it back on, I had to get new modem, new DVR (I lost all of my DVR shows).

I have 4 TVs in house, one in camp, all the channels with my cell phone and max internet for a hair under $400/month.

I made the switch from Cox to ATT a few months ago and couldn't be happier.

Had - 50mbps internet w/ all Cox channels (3tvs) for around $190 a month

Now have - gigabit fiber and second highest tv package (4tvs) for $112 a month

FYI if you’re due for an upgrade the new Genie is badass. Just came out last month

7 tuners, 2 4K tuners, 2 terabyte HD. Built in wireless bridge so no more modem to talk to wireless receivers.
