With the expanded DVR and unlimited screens it's $55.

Doesn't sound much cheaper than regular cable, considering you probably aren't getting a discount on the internet.

I hated the interface when compared to YouTube TV, give it a shot too.

I have noticed semi-frequent buffering issues when commercial breaks come up

It was over a year ago I tried Hulu, but this was the problem I had but it also buffered a LOT during the actual programs. Maybe they've improved since that time, but I never ran into that problem with any of the other streaming services I tried.

I love it. I have had it over a year now. The only thing I wish they would do it, for shows you have saved, to allow you to skip commercials, or to watch one big commercial upfront and no more the rest of the show.

You can watch live television through the apps themselves instead of Hulu therefore increasing your number of live streams without paying extra for it.
Are you sure? I ask because I have SlingTV, and if I watch ESPN through the ESPN app, Sling kicks me out, so ESPN at least communicates with Sling on the back end to count streams. I've seen mixed reports online, some say it works for them, some say it doesn't. I haven't looked into Hulu, though.

I think all the streaming services are probably pretty solid at present. I've only used PS Vue, which has been great but I wouldn't hesitate to use any of the offerings.

I get some non-commercial buffering every once in a while when watching live tv, but far more on local channels than cable channels.

Guide was garbage, but it’s already changed on most platforms. New guide will hit all soon, it’s a significant improvement. I wish I could reorder the channels, alphabetical sucks arse.

I’ve had it for 6 months or so and very happy.

What are some of the cons?

On Android TV, the Hulu app is limited to 30 fps, which is crap for live sports. There is a workarout by using the Chromecast feature on Android TV (Hulu supports 60 fps on Chromecast). Unfortunately, I always got stuttering via that route. It wasn't my ISP since streaming through the ESPN app was always smooth. The 30 fps was a deal breaker, so I dumped them and switched to YouTube.

The streaming on YT is so much better. Streams on Hulu are up to a minute behind live action while YouTube is only ~30 seconds behind. The video quality is also very good and you can manually force your stream to lower bitrate if you need to save data. They also offer unlimited DVR and the interface seems a lot smoother. It's my first year doing OTT streaming, and YouTube is totally worth it.

I used to pay $100+ for Xfinity and I didn't even get ESPNU, ESPNews, FS2, ACCN, CBS Sports, or BTN.

We tried it, buffered a lot with my fiber internet. I possibly didn't understand how it works but there were commercials on the DVR content as well. Went back to YouTube TV until football is over, then back to Philo.

HULU doesn't have the Hallmark channel, PS Vue doesn't have the History channel and YouTube TV doesn't have Hallmark or History. These are non-starters in my house.

I believe Hallmark has a stand-alone subscription.
