Got a Firestick yesterday on Amazon Prime Day, installed Kodi onto it

now what?
Where's the good stuff?
Installation wasn't easy, by the way. Had to download and install the Java developers kit from Oracle onto my PC, then download and install the Android developers kit from Google onto my PC, then download the Kodi apk onto my computer and run a command line exe from within windows to install it onto the Firestick.
But, by golly, it's there!
I still have to launch it from the Settings->Applications->Launch Applications menu option because I don't have an icon under the Apps menu, but at least it's there.
So, where's all the good streaming stuff?

Um. There's an app for that...
Also, search this board for threads about it.

Yeah, like I know what that means.
Thanks for the genesis advice, though.

I live extremely close to an Amazon facility, yes. I was pleasantly surprised to see it at my doorstep early this morning.
ETA: The downside is that they charge me sales tax on everything.

They are charging sales tax in Ohio as well.
Why do you hate paying your fair share?

Get tvmc because it has everything already installed for you. tvaddons.org I think is the url. Installation is the same, it's still kodi, just preconfigured.
Also, there are ways to get an icon in your recent apps to pull up kodi, Google for that. I think I basically "bought" a kodi app from the Amazon store on the website for $0 and it put the icon on the stick. More convenient than going through the menus.

I wish someone would do a Kodi for dummies or link it to me. I have no idea what it is or how it can help me watch free shite.

Why do you hate paying more money than you have to pay?
FIFY.
Oh, and call me stupid for wanting to hang onto my hard earned money to pay bills. frick taxes. I'm already taxed to death.
I hope Amazon forever stays out of Louisiana, so I don't have to pay sales tax on my purchases.

Videodevil? What the hell is that? I've installed tvmc on my Fire Stick and then clicked on the Genesis and Project Free TV buttons. I'm seeing all sort of stuff on here.

I was about to write this exact thing... My only way to watch Astros games on my TV in Louisiana. It's always the other teams broadcast for whatever reason, but beggars can't be choosers...
