A long proud history of removing products/services that are great.
I just went and bought several more so I can have them for years.

Looks like they'll still be supported...hopefully for a while. I get a lot of use out of mine in hotels.

You really should have included this part:

Today, we’re introducing Google TV Streamer, a more premium device built for the new era of entertainment and smart home needs. With Google TV Streamer, you can not only indulge your entertainment needs, but also have a hub for your whole smart home.

My 13 y/o, who likes to randomly shove the TV remote in the couch cushions, would say that should be standard feature on every remote ever made. "DAD!, Where's the remote????"

I've actually thought about how to build something similar to attach to one...

I really wish they'd stop with the dedicated app buttons. I press these about 15 times accidentally for every 1 time I press them on purpose. I finally decided to just remap the Netflix button on my Shield remote.

Oh look, Google is gonna pick my content for me.
Maybe they'll recommend 1776 starring Halle Barry as Betsy Ross and Denzel Washington as George.

...JUST as I'm starting to use AppSheet to write scripts for office admin procedures for efficiency.

Dear Administrator,
We’re writing to let you know that the AI-assisted app creation feature with Gemini in AppSheet will be available to users starting September 6, 2024.
As an AppSheet Administrator, you have the option to disable this feature before it becomes available to users. You can also modify this setting anytime in the future.
We understand this change may require some planning, therefore we’ve provided additional details below to help you.
What this means for your organization
With Gemini in AppSheet, Workspace users can easily build mobile and desktop apps by describing a business process or idea. This feature will be available to Workspace AppSheet users.

Lol, I get it.
Google is a phenomenal company built for all the wrong reasons. Wish I could embrace more than hold-my-nose-and-use-it support.

That's a feature, not a bug. Those companies pay a ton of money to get those buttons.

How are we supposed to synchronize our TVs on game days?
Thought only chrome cast could do this without wires. We usually have games on at least three screens and nothing worse than them being tens of seconds apart.
ETA we use Roku Ultra and stream stick for normal watching.
