Fitbit Blaze or Apple Watch Sport

Which one? I want it for fitness tracking, and i want the screen to be able to view graphs and charts without having to look on phone like you do with a regular Fitbit.
Blaze seems better for working out. Only thing I would prefer w Apple would be the maps functionality since I drive a lot. Thoughts?

Honestly I'd go with the Fitbit. Fitbit doesn't need to be hooked to your phone to work.
I think there's a future for wearables, I just don't think any of the current iterations have figured that out yet.

Do you want to use it to play music while you workout? That is what made me go with the Apple Watch, I didn't want to carry a separate iPod since I could play music through bluetooth headphones with the watch only.
It is also GREAT with the maps app on the phone while driving.

Good foodback. I can play music through the Blaze, actually.
Ended up going with the Blaze after reading enough reviews from folks who've used both the blaze and Apple Watch for the same
Purposes as me. I got it from Best Buy last night so I'll update with a review when I've had some time using it.
The one thing that annoyed me about Apple Watch was how expensive it was versus its inability to track workouts (I do HIIT and would have to manually start/stop it otherwise it would go by heart rate alone) and sleep. The fragility of the glass on the sport was worrisome since I tend to be clumsy and no doubt would break the glass--why wouldn't they go with a durable material, like the blaze's gorilla glass, since it's something that'll undoubtedly get knocked just based on location? I know the answer is obvious but that annoys me about Apple.

Yeah I'm hoping the next generation apple watch has a better workout tracking software on it. Then I'll definitely get one. Until then I'm just going to rock my Charge HR.

Good choice, but you may be misinformed on a few items-
The Apple Watch does use gorilla glass that is as strong or stronger than the one on the Fitbit.
I am not sure the fitbit can store music on it, I know it can control music on your phone, but it doesn't have local storage to use independently.
I do agree about the fitbit's superior workout tracking out of the box, but there are tons of apps for the Apple watch that can do more than the fitbit if you have patience with searching.
I would have gone with the fitbit if I did not get the apple watch on sale around Christmas though, the full price is too much for it.

Yeah, you're right about the music. I can only control it from my watch but that's no big deal for me. After my morning workout I can say I'm excited to continue learning and using it.
I hope that eventually they make it a tad more "feminine" because I absolutely prefer the rose gold or gold look of the Apple Watch. Another thing to note, which may not matter to others, is that I had to spend $70 on a leather band to go with the Blaze. I don't want to use the plastic band when at work. So all in all, I did end up spending about what I would on the Apple Watch.. Wonk wonk. The cute accessories (like the matching rose
Gold straps) that go with the Apple Watch are only $20.

at least you actually did some research though. Unlike my future wife who would have walked in and said oooh shiny i'll take 2, one for each wrist.

The fitbit blaze has a five day battery life...thats the selling point for me.

I'm thisclose to pulling the trigger on TomTom Cardio Spark + Music, which actually does store the music on the watch.
According to reviews I've read, the music transfer interface is a bit clunky, but I'm getting really tired of ending up with burns on my arm from my huge phone workout band rubbing against my skin.

I've used it non stop for 36 hours and the battery icon has barely changed. Still loving it, and the sleep charting. Turns out I lose an hour each night just from tossing or "restlessness". I will also note that my running app (runtAstic) and the GPS on the Blaze aren't totally in agreement. My app has me about .10 ahead of the watch Even though I started them at the same time.

Does the blaze have a vibrating alarm?

I own both. The Apple Watch is a cool piece of tech, but the fitness aspects of it leave much to be desired in my opinion. Fitbit app>>apple health.
I just purchased a blaze and it's great. tI only have three issues with it so far:
-text notifications staying on the screen unless you manually dismiss them.
-the watch design seems like it could be prone to scratches and cracks. I dinged my Apple Watch, stainless steel edition, a few times and no scratches or cracks.
- no clock face to see actual steps. You have to cycle the screens every time.
What apps?

Did a ton of research and wife went with blaze and loves it. More geared towards fitness and the battery life alone is worth it. It's a massive pain to charge something every day that you wear.
She got the leather band for work and switches to black for workouts. Oh yeah and it's $100 cheaper

I will always recommend the Pebble as well to anyone that is looking for a smart watch. It doesn't have a HR Monitor though, that would be my biggest issue with it if that's what you want, but it has everything else, and will monitor your sleep, etc. It also has something like a 10 day battery life as well.
I know the Fitbit Blaze is also a very good device

Hey-if you change your clock face to "pop" (click in on "blaze" and hit clock face) and you will see steps. I use zone and it shows time, HR, date and steps. It just fluctuates between them. You can just tap it to make the face change to steps, HR or whatever it is you're trying to see. Hope that helps.

Had a fitbit charge HR for less than 9 months and it broke. I'm going with APPLE.
