do iphones not support swipe?

i was in a meeting this morning and noticed all the chicks (the ones who use iphones but i digress) just tap tap tappety tap tap tap away furiously.
i haven't 'tapped' a keyboard in probably 10 years since the SWYPE keyboard came out on windows mobile.
who doesn't use swipe in 2019?

I don't, I don't like it. iPhones have supported swipe for awhile and but just got a version of it natively built in. Previously you had to install it if you wanted it.

as long as they don't have keyboard clicks on then I don't really pay attention to how people text, but I personally am not a fan of swiping. maybe its because I type already all day anyway.
I will admit to this, Grammarly has made me extremely lazy about typing anything that requires a shift key.

I have Android and could never really get 100% committed to it. I usually have to have a mixture of both "tap, tap, tap" and Swype typing due to its unpredictability. It's nice when it works. But when you SWYPE for a word like "Typing", it's infuriating to get "thing", "topping", "tipping", "time", "toping" as the result.

Just started swiping and I’ma fan. Crazy how accurate it is when my swipe is all over the place.

Tapping has auto predictive in it as well, usually half the word or less is necessary when tapping. Don’t find it a big time savings to swipe.

I used swipe on my Galaxy 2. I was thrilled to have it back when Apple just released IOS 13.

backfires? not quite. just goes to show how many luddites are still out there. you can type 100x faster using swipe than anyone trying to tap out individual characters.
