DisplayMate: iPhone X Has the 'Most Innovative and High Performance' Display Ever Tested

iPhone X matched or set new smartphone display records in the following categories: highest absolute color accuracy, highest full screen brightness for OLED smartphones, highest full screen contrast rating in ambient light, and highest contrast ratio. It also had the lowest screen reflectance and smallest brightness variation with a viewing angle.

Pixel 2xl screen is not as nice as Samsungs, and apparently not as nice as the iPhone X.
But it still very nice and it makes up for it in so many other areas with software. Not to mention its $200 cheaper than the iphone X.

And the iPhone X can fix its camera "problems" with software updates to fix the algorithms. Just about every reviewer has said that the Pixel has handled light and tones much better than the X.

Yeah. The pixel also included extra chips for camera updates as well. So as good as the pixel camera is it's about to get even better.
Also i think the pixel is planning on releasing a software upgrade for people who want the more saturated colors.

All you people do realize that the iphone has a Samsung display right....so no matter what this article says it is essentially the same screen that the note 8 has.

The software too. Google lens, now playing, the superior assistant, etc. Plus squeeze functionality which has been great. And again all for $200 less.
It's not perfect though and iphone does have things as well it doesn't have. Wireless charging for one. Samsung's superior screen as well obviously.

I think if Google and Samsung could find a way to work together on the Pixel 3 we would probably get as close to the perfect phone that we can get at this time.

Never know. Isn't the pixel 2 a samsung display. It's just the pixel 2xl is an LG display.

Not exactly. Made to different specs, just look at the PPI of each display. Same manufacturer of the panels, but the specs for each display were pretty different. X has significantly less PPI than Pixel and Note.

It’s solid. I don’t think it’s “unbelievably awesome”. My Nexus 6P had a better display than the X.
