Well good to know it'll work in my living room without me fricking with attic and running coax. Thanks for the update

Are they supposed to be sending email notifications or anything on when they're shipping us our new Apple TVs?

Just pulled the trigger on DTV Now and cancelled Vue. I based this decision solely off of the opinions of some of you here. I haven't even seen DTV Now yet Just figured if I'm paying 35 a month for Vue I may as well pay it to DTV and get a new AppleTV out of the deal...and more channels. All aboard.

Welcome aboard! I was watching The Walking Dead with 0 issues last night. Hell, even paused it and resumed after a potty break.

I really like DTVNow, not gonna lie. Just wish they'd make an Xbox One S app and then it'd be the clear winner.

Yea I really liked Vue. I just didn't love it enough to pass up the good deal that DTV was offering if all things are pretty much equal which they appear to be. I trust some of you guys to put out decent reviews so what the hell. Can't wait to get home and try it out.

This made me finally cut the cord. Over the weekend I cancelled my TMC account and got DirectTV Now. I like it so far and havent had any major issues. The only issue is I don't have local channels like CBS, NBC & FOX (for football). So, I bought a Firestick TV and after an hour of research and then installing it, I got Kodi on the device. I put Fusion on it so I now have Exodus & Phoenix on it. This is AMAZING. I've been watching so many movies and TV series. Phoenix TV does have the ability to watch local channels, but the buffer rate is sketch. But, at least it's kind of there, right?

That was the kicker for me....get an Apple TV at a $50 discount and a "trial" of DTV Now for 3 months. I honestly don't think I'm going to need the 3 months to decide though....I'm dropping Cox. I just REALLY am hopeful that Nick Jr and NBC Sports will update their apps soon to add login options for DTV Now.

Still can't use Slingtv credentials to get into Disney Jr or Nick Jr. They've been around for a year.

Vue's credentials seemed to work on everyones app the day they launched.

I don't know if it's the app or the service provider but if it isn't on there now, I doubt i'll be there in the near future. Seems like that should have already been taken care of.

Fusion has the USTV Now add-on. Get it..it's got all the locals but they aren't necessarily your locals. But at least you'll get the network television.

You'll have to sign up for it but it's a free service intended for those over-seas

Has anyone bought Tablo? You get your locals + DVR through an AppleTV app.

I just signed up for the 3 month / Apple TV deal.

I've never owned a streaming device. I don't own any other Apple products. I have Amazon Prime, but no other streaming services.

Would I be better off selling the Apple TV and picking up something else?

Since you have Prime, it may serve you better to have the Amazon Fire TV since there's no Amazon Prime app available on iOS.

ETA: I just ordered the Amazon Basics flat panel antenna with the 35 mile range. I live just over 20 miles outside of New Orleans so this should pick up all of those stations without problem (I'm hoping). I'll post back here on Wednesday evening with comments on how it works. It's a little cheaper than the Mohu Leaf.
