What’s the general consensus on this? Need two monitors for my desk and not sure if curved is the way to go or not.

What are you using them for?

Very few usage cases would have me recommend two monitors over a large, curved ultra wide.

Just get a 49 inch UW

I have one and it's more than enough screen space for anything you need

Like many things use and size matter.

They are great for a wider field of view and focus the light toward you.

Most people are fine with one larger one and using smaller laptop screen to quickly access files.

Gaming, graphics, cad, stocks are all great with two curved monitors. I actually reduced the size of mine when I went to two to keep it all in view without head turning.

They can be more prone to glaring with the angles so cheap ones and situations with windows aren’t great.

Haven't dove down the UW monitor path. Can you segment the screen into 2 or 3 even partitions? I like 3 screens due to the fact you can have an app per screen. I don't want to size my apps to one screen.

This and the ability to rotate 1 screen as needed for reading docs in portrait mode.

Now, if someone needs three vertical partitions, multiple monitors make sense, in my opinion.

I use them in a horizontal configuration but I do use all three routinely. Specs pulled up on one screen, SQL on one and .NET on another.

Ok that was my concern with one screen. I need to be able to have different windows and when I maximize it doesn’t take up the whole screen. Is it fairly easy to move different windows into the segmented areas?

the only drawback of a 49" UW is the cost.

two 32" or 27" monitors will be far less expensive.

All the P6 planner baws at the plant use them.must be good.

On a serious note, it's easy to resize windows. Just drag the window to the left or right edge and it snaps it to half of the ultra wide.

My Samsung came with built-in software that allows you to use prefab partitions or custom layout the screen how you want it.
