For Christ sake I got charged $100 for them to flip a switch on my internet after they said they would wave the fee. Contacted COX . They said they have never record of operator saying that in my installation call and if she did then she was wrong.
Screw those Biden run bastards . When I’m done With my one year contract I’m going back to ATT.

If Cox doesn't roll out full glass-to-wall fiber soon, they are going to get run out of town.

i have "fiber" internet. it's fiber until it hits the wall of my garage. then it turns to cable. is that the same thing?

Sorry you have to pay for a service they provide for you. I had the same fee. You will have the same fee for AT&T.

Depends on the type of cable

In 2021, the best way to tell is whether you're getting symmetrical download/upload speeds. If you're getting gig up and down, then it's glass all the way down. If you're getting "gig" down and like 50mbs up like Cox offers around here, you've got some copper frickiness going on

Wrong. AT&t pays the customer to install fiber service.

considering all fiber demarcs to businesses and homes the same way, i would say yes, it is the same thing.

I installed my own hardware and still had to pay it. Sorry, sucks that you have to pay to be whitelisted to the WAN like everyone else.

But all comms companies do this, you have to pay for the labor for the task. Labor costs don't fall from trees but from your wallet.

All Cox calls are recorded.

File a BBB complaint, and it’ll get fixed REAL fast.

Trust me. I had the same problem a while back.

Ask to speak to a supervisor. They should correct this for you.

I upgraded plans from 150 down to 500. When do they flip said switch? It's been a month.

Is there a cancellation fee or do you have to ride out the 1 year? I just signed up a month ago. I called to get AT&T but the guy said they don’t have AT&T where I was moving too and he sold me cox. Guy was working for both companies. I wish I didn’t get Cox.

Cox went up on my bill in October. Finally got around to setting up my networking closet and fishing the right cables this week and had gigabit fiber installed yesterday with a $400 reward card incentive.

Well, that's just dumb. I've always done self-installs for Cox Cable everywhere I've lived and have never once had to pay for the install, dating all the way back to when I was a teenager and my parents let me switch the house from dialup.

It's ridiculous, in order to get the service, the damn signal has to get to your home. So they charge for the service then charge you to get the signal to your home so you can use the service. That would be no different than a restaurant bringing your food out raw, then telling you if you want it cooked and edible, it will cost you an extra $25.00
