Anyone rock one? How do you like it? Thinking of taking the plunge.

I rock with Acer Chromebook R 11 4GB.
It's touch screen and keyboard. I use it for work so I can just hand it to clients and it is quick and easy to use.

I have the asus chromebook flip. Perfect for my needs...email, movies, occasional google docs. Fantastic battery life.

I was looking at the Dell 13 inch chromebook. Looks pretty good for my needs.

I have the Toshiba Chromebook 2. I love it. It's one of the best chromebooks in the market and reasonably priced at around $300

I'd stay away from Dell, but that's just me

I had an Acer for over two years. It doesn't do all of the things that a 2-in-1 would do, but it was good for the price and was convenient to use.

Great machine, highly recommended, I'd splurge to get a pricier one though as some of the cheaper models are essentially unusable imo (slow, etc)

Got my dad one. It was about $250 at Best Buy. It doesn't have anything on it that he doesn't need. He is an Android person so he loves that the bookmarks on Chrome sync on his phone and computer.

This is important. You will enjoy a chromebook a lot more if you use an android phone

It's one of my favorite tech purchases ever. I still use my desktop for gaming and some work stuff, but my laptop is a paperweight.
I'm obviously not saying it's as capable as a laptop, but for browsing, Netflix, etc., it's awesome. Great screen for the price, boots up in like 6 seconds, shuts down in like 4... I'm a fan.

I bought my SO a chromebook for her last bday and she loves it. It's a tiny one, but all she used her old arse laptop for was browsing the internet and maybe some small spreadsheets for plans around the house and budgeting. A cheap Chromebook is perfect for that. I'm not sure I'd want to use a Chromebook for more than that, though. ChromeOS is very lightweight and runs very well on cheap hardware, but doesn't beat out MacOS or Windows for feature and functionality.

Does it have an hdmi port?

The Chromebook 2 has a standard HDMI port. Checkmate

I have one.
It's really not useful for anything work related.
I used it for the first 2 months I had it and then havent turned it on in a few months. Good for throwing into a backpack and bringing with you if you need to check your email, surf the web, or misc. other light weight activity.
Chrome OS is limiting.

I'd say whether it's useful for work or not depends a LOT on what line of work you're in. Almost everything I do in education is cloud-based and either in GAFE or Drive. For my purposes, a chromebook is perfect (even though I have a macbook Air instead due to what my boss bought me).
Now if you're doing a ton of heavy graphic design work or stuff with proprietary software, then your statement is true.

Looking at the upcoming Samsung Chromebook Pro which was just reported recently. 4gb ram, flips similar to ASUS Flip, supports android apps, and has an s pen style stylus.
