I'm talking out of my arse a bit here but forecasting what I could see happening.
OpenAI issues paid licenses for ChatGPT instances. Company ABC wants to build a call center replacement. They license an instance of ChatGPT so they don't have to build their own LLM. In their specific instances they train it heavily with recorded call center data to generalize it for call centers, for example. They then can then spin up individual instances of their now specifically-trained LLM with training modules for each client and specifically train their LLM for a given client

ChatGPT was asked how many genders there are - here is what it said:
The concept of gender is complex and culturally specific, and there is no universally accepted answer to how many genders there are. Some cultures recognize only two genders, male and female, while others recognize more than two. In recent years, there has been growing recognition of the existence of non-binary and gender non-conforming individuals, who may identify as a mix of male and female, neither male nor female, or as another gender entirely.
It's important to understand that gender is a social and cultural construct, and individuals have the right to self-identify and express their gender in the way that feels most authentic and true to themselves. The number of genders is not fixed, and can vary across cultures and historical periods. Ultimately, the number of genders is a matter of personal and cultural perspective, and can be influenced by factors such as biology, psychology, and social norms.

I feel like ChatGPT will eventually morph into a, "What do you want to hear" type of bot. It will be the safe space that so many people demand. It wouldn't surprise me if in the future there will be content filtering that modifies people's responses to suit the consumer. We'll be living in a bubble of validation and blissful ignorance.

try asking if a doctor has to put a gender on a birth certificate 30 minutes after birth. How many genders does the doctor get to choose from in the USA?

What does it say if you ask what happened to Epstein?

They don't put any gender on a birth certificate, they put sex.

There are going to be many different flavors of these language AIs. Microsoft is going to take it and focus it on its productivity apps. It will probably be even more limited in some ways. But just like there are a bunch of niche web browsers focusing on things the main ones don't, there will be different AI bots too.

Oh well good. No need to add anything to the birth certificate
