Seconded. The only thing I am missing is the Rocky Mountain Sports Network for Rockies games. I need a good sports app.

All of the above except I'll add that for $99 a year you get Amazon prime free shipping AND access to Amz Prime Video (and Amz music) for "free".

You can get every MLB game without blackout restrictions with an IPTV service. I use Flawless IPTV and I've been happy with it but I'm sure there are other services out there. If you want to try Flawless go to their payment site and make an account. They have different tiers you can choose from. You can use it on an iPhone or Android and you can use their addon with Kodi.

They are going to jack up your internet costs to an absurd level using data caps.

I thought about this for awhile now.
I pay 131 a month for Internet/Television free DVR
If I were to cut the chord I would pay 75 a month for internet only (200mb) plus Vue would be 45 a month. Add Hulu and Netflix on top of that. Is it really saving me anything???
That's 75+45+20 = 140 a month for everything.

It's a fair question. We pay like 200 a month, so it's something we're looking into, but if you're on a decent package already, maybe not.
I'm really just waiting for all networks to get on a streaming service. Then it might be viable for us.
But I priced Sling this weekend, and it seems pretty expensive to come anywhere close to our current package.

I have a few questions:
quote:Is $131 what you're actually paying per month, or is that the advertised price for your package? Cable companies like to tack on fees like nobody's business. Is your DVR lease free, or is the DVR "service" free, or are both free? Cox was charging me about $20 for leasing and anther $20 for DVR "service".

quote:Are you not already paying for either of those? A lot of cord-cutting "detractors" like to add Netflix fees on top of the cord-cutting fees, but conveniently forget they were already paying for it with their cable package.
Add Hulu and Netflix on top of that.
If you are actually getting 200mbit internet plus TV for $131/month out of your pocket, then that's a pretty good deal and cutting the cord may not be best for you right now.
In my case, I started cutting when my cable/internet bill got over $200, and the absolute best that Cox would offer me at the time was something in the neighborhood of $160 to get the handful of channels I actually wanted. So now I have all the channels I need with Sling for $35, plus $66 (taxes and fees included) for internet and I'm saving $60/month. I might pick up a month of Hulu here and there to catch up on some shows, or I might drop Sling for a few months (I really only need it for football). All told I'm easily saving $700/year.
