Yeah I watched the new show.
I could set up an from cad could download while he is at work. But would be easier to mail a HDD.
Or just grow a pair and get unlimited

You need to look into Ombi. I got it set up on the seedbox now. People can just log in and request movies and then it with another program does all the rest. Automagically.

Any good tutorials on how to set up Ombi? That would greatly help me out.. but I don't really know how to begin to set that up.

YouTube Video
Ombi is only half the equation though. You still have to use couch potato or another program to actually grab and handle the movie. I use couch potato personally.

Like CAD, I'm also not on an unlimited data plan. We use fireTVs to run PLEX. Is there a way to run PLex thru the fireTV and not use up data (keep it on the internal network)?

PLEX should not require internet to run..I've never looked into it, but as far as my use for it, its only my internal network..It sees shows on the server and plays them..IN order to put shows on the server though, I have to download them..If you were meaning that you use someone elses PLEX instead of downloading your own shows, you definitely are reliant on internet

Thanks for the input. I did a simple test by disabling internet access for the fireTV in my router but leaving it connected to the network. It confirmed what you said. I need internet access to load the home screen of the fireTV, but not to watch stream in Plex. I had to enable internet access to get into the Plex app, but then I disabled the access and was able to stream with no issues.
Anyone know if the site https:/app.plex.tv/desktop stays local also, or should I be using a local IP for streaming Plex?
All my scenarios are inhouse on a local network as no one else has access to my server currently. I'm just trying to make sure the only data being used is to populate Plex with media and its metadata downloads.
Edit: Had to change the website to an incorrect format so it was visible instead of the work LINK

if you are watching your plex server it doesnt use internet.
Me and Cad are talking like that because we share each others servers. So when he watching mine it used both of our internet data (upload-me, download-him). He has a cap and i dont. I think last month i used 4 TB of data. half of that is upload form people watching my server. I have unlimited fiber so i dont care. If i had a cap, people would not have access to my server.
