Looking for something that we can wall mount and guests can easily connect to. Seems like sonos would be an option but it looks like guests can basically change the system however they want once they download the sonos app.

We'd like to put one speaker on each floor (three floors) so a guest on each floor can listen to music separately

Does it have to be mountable? If so, I think the easiest thing would be to just get a soundbar of whichever brand you want. If you are putting them in rooms with tvs, you can use them for that as well.

That is what we did… soundbar. Most have a Bluetooth button they can click to pair to it.

Denon NV150. Spotify connects directly to it. And you're not just looking necessarily for a Bluetooth speaker, just connect the speakers to the same Wifi as the guests will use.

Soundbars suck compared to individual $180 speakers like the Denon and Sonos unless you spend a good penny on it. Lack of bass on soundbars without an additional sub, etc.

I would say No on a Sonos for this purpose. Not designed specifically for Bluetooth and to be shareable.

It doesn't need to be Blue as long as it's on the same Wifi network as the guests. It also supports Airplay.

I wish I knew more about the tech we had on our honeymoon. I could send music to any part of the complex. The owner really didn't know enough about it to explain it to me.

Just upgrade soundbar to one with airplay(and/or cast). Problem solved. Put an airplay sticker/sign on/by it so they know they can stream to it. Add it to the guest WiFi network.
Anything else would likely need instructions/support/whatever and be more likely to be tampered with since it isn’t a natural part of the home.
You can also set alerts when it is disconnected from WiFi so you know who to charge if it comes up missing.

It's easy to connect with bt on your phone & play what you want, I've seen some that will connect to more than one source so while your listening to Bach the guy next to you can feed Black Sabbath into the mix! lol

Bluetooth is designed for portable devices primarily controlled by a limited number of other portable devices that remain in close proximity after a cumbersome pairing sequence. Bluetooth products are therefore typically designed keeping this in mind.
AirPlay/cast products are stationary devices typically meant to be immediately accessible by any device on the same subnet, regardless or whether or not they leave the room. These are much better suited to the OP’s use case.

From someone with several Airbnb's I would advise against this unless all three floors are part of a single airbnb. If not, you will create a headache for yourself from guest blaring the speakers which will ultimately lead to noise complaints.
