Kind of a spin off on the Apple buds. What are good headphones or similar ear buds for android based phones?

I like my Galaxy Buds a lot.

I've been eyeing the Galaxy Buds. They are about $120 on amazon and I think Costco has them in store for a few bucks less.

Galaxy Buds are amazing. I had them but I have iphone So i didnt get to take advantage of all the features. Great headphones though I cant talk about all the features that Andriod bring to them.

These and it's not close, for me. I bought the jabra elite long story short, they broke. Samsung's were ok but you cannot access the app without a galaxy. Never wanted ipods and I own a iPhone. The ones here I've have no problems and they fit perfect.

Of course you can.

Although they're called Galaxy Buds, they do work with non-Samsung devices, including other Android and iOS devices as well as Bluetooth-enabled computers. But some of the features, such as Automatic Sync (an easy pairing feature) and Ambient Aware Mode, only work with Android devices running Android 5.0 or higher with 1.5GB of RAM or more.
Here's the app on the Play Store

Galaxy Buds are great at $120. Love mine.

That's Google Play. Not Apple App Store. Either way I like mine.

You said without a Galaxy though, so I corrected you.
App works for any Android made in the last ~4 years basically.

Anyone ever used bone conduction headphones? Something like this LINK
They don't go over your ear and instead just sort of vibrate into your skull so you can hear what's coming out of them without preventing you from hearing what's around you. Seems neat but I'd want to try it out somewhere. Never seen them in person before. Only 6hrs life seems painfully low though.

I had a friend who picked up some Galaxy Buds. She seems pleased with them so far. Good sound quality and pretty comfortable.
