I’m switching to Sling Blue for $35/month. When football season gets here, I’ll add Sling Orange for another $15/month.

idk what it is about sling but i can't get it to work as well as YTTV. I'm not sure if it is my new samsung tv and their applications. But YTTV works vastly better than Sling for me

Meanwhile, my AT&T UVerse discounts are about to expire.

Been getting 1GB fiber service for $40 a month and the U200 tier (which includes free HBO Max) for $52. Including all taxes, fees, etc I'm paying $105 monthly.

Starting in April it'll be almost $200 a month. Ouch.

And since they are effectively ending UVerse I can't change my plan, only cancel it and replace it with ATTTV.

The new 1Gbps fiber deal is $50/month which isn't terrible. Keep in mind if you get ATTTV, you will get a $10 bundle discount. Not huge but helps.

ATTTV is also going to unlimited DVR and 20 streams to go with the price increase.

where did you see that? This is on their website

AT&T TV requires high speed internet. AT&T recommends a minimum internet speed of 8Mbps per stream for optimal viewing. Limit 3 concurrent out-of-home AT&T streams. Separate subscription/login required for 3rd party app content.

I posted the link on page 1.

You have 20 total streams for in home viewing and 3 of those 20 can be used outside.

You should see the unlimited DVR in your account any day if you haven't already.

Have they announced when they will sunset uverse?

Call them still and see what they give you to stay on uverse. Still possible to get, but they aren't doing yearly commitments. So monthly. I did this a few months back...and pretty much got the same rate I had.

i’ll give that a shot. They called me awhile back trying to entice me to get on ATTTV, what did you tell them you were considering switching to in order to get them to maintain the discount?

I signed up when it first launched so this is hitting me big. Initial price was $35. Only paying $60/mo for 130 channels for the last 18 months after second price increase. Now increasing up to $95/mo. It was a sweet ride. Good while it lasted. Gonna miss the free HBO Max.

Moving to FUBO. They have the best sports package and the Hallmark Channel for the wife during the holidays.

I left them a few months ago for ATT TV. They have a lot better sports package overall, but were missing the Fox Sports regional channels. That's a big channel to not have if you live in Texas and are a sports fan (Dallas Stars, Spurs, Mavs, Texas Rangers...)

If it weren't for that, I'd still be on Fubo. I liked everything else about it more than ATT TV

I didn't consider this. I guess I would lose Pelicans games on FoxSports New Orleans

Followup - took your advice, and kept my $60 monthly discount on U200 TV service, so my bill is only going up $20 a month.

Then I asked her about the 1K fiber discount expiring and she said I was already grandfathered in to the original $59.99 rate that they’ve since bumped up, so I’d best keep my mouth shut

Also asked how long before they would be sunsetting Uverse and forcing the holdouts to ATTTV and she said I could stay with it as long as I wanted.

I just let mine lapse last month and was in the same boat. At $35/month I’m happy enough to pay it and watch tv for 2 hours a month that I want to, but the price increases have simply transformed this into another expensive cable product I am paying for more than I use.

Not sure why there isn’t a place for those options, maybe even with a monthly streaming cap. I want months without using my subscription, but I’d still like to have it for when I need it. Maybe I need to look into fubo and sling

Anybody figure out how to get CinemaHD on their ATT&TV box? I got Kodi but just not a fan. Can’t figure out how to let me install from unknown sources

not a fan of Kodi? anything specific? Kodi can do just about everything but it can be a bit overwhelming at first.

"isn't terrible" is an understatement. I dream of such pricing and speeds. I want to live where you live.
