Feels like I just walked into a branch davidian camp.

This place is a cult. Lines of people dropping off phones with battery issues. Wife's phone has the infamous shitty battery syndrome.

Is this some bad attempt at a humble brag? Because Apple phones are worth a lot more than Android.

No, just the irony. 3 people walked in at same time with 6s all getting new batteries.

Plus Apple sucks!

And you save money with androids, since don’t have to worry about any girls texting you back when they see your “what’s up” come in green.

Apples reducing price on batteries because of an issue with the 6, so people are swapping them out. The latest update caused battery to drain faster.

I've used an iphone since 2008. The last couple updates on my 6s pissed me off, so I opted for a pixel 2xl this upgrade cycle instead of the X. I'm sure the new car smell will wear off in a couple months, but I'm loving it so far.

I've been in an Apple Store only one time (for about 10 minutes to buy my wife her watch for Christmas a few months ago) in the last 6 years. I never have issues with Apple products.

Just today . . .

Been on my Retina MacBook Pro messing around on here - no problems in 5 years, well, except for buying some $3.00 foot pads from Amazon - the horror!

Looking at my iPhone X (got at AT&T) - best phone I've ever owned. Period. Worth every dime, plus I got a free iPhone 8 for my wife (she was still on her 7, which my youngest son has now as his first phone). All are still running fantastically, so can be easily passed down. By the way, my work phone is a iPhone 6s - works perfectly still - and stays charged all day.

And speaking of my wife - I just texted her about dinner and she responded from her Apple watch (while running around helping at the ballpark). Having the watch has a made a world of difference to her and how she operates her business and life.

My youngest son is watching/listening to a youtube video on his iPad of 4 years to get the notes down on a guitar piece he is learning.

Not even going to go with how much I use FaceTime in a week with people who are hearing impaired (I work with and know quite a few).

Actually the first Apple product I bought (a Performa, years ago), was the worst. It was slow, had no CD drive, and was just ugly as sin. I upgraded to a blue iMac 3G when that one finally died and never looked back. So, that includes a Power Mac (the plastic shell tower), then to an all-in-one iMac, then to a white MacBook (which amazingly still works and I use occasionally because it has an old version of Quickbooks I need sometimes), a MacBook Pro, then to the Retina)

So, a cult? No. Just devices that are easy-to-use . . . and work for a long time.

But I love my work computer too - an hp all in one. Have had it for 3 years and it never skips a beat.

I'm discovering that just about all technology is good these days - and all are built to last. It used to expect something to only last for 2 years. Now, it is expected to much more.

Sorry, but why would anyone want to do business with a comoany that charges them for an admitted flaw in the product they sold them?

You people are delusional

So one of the most profitable companies in the world has a ton of people buying products and getting repairs done in their retail store. What a bunch of sheep. Bet they’ll drink arsenic laced juice tonight while chanting Steve Jobs name.

The anti-Apple circle jerk dwarfs any Apple cult/fanboys by a power of 10.

They really are. Imagine a car manufacturer making people pay for a recall. There are really people touting this as some great Apple customer service.

It's worse than battered woman's syndrome.

Company admits they are purposely slowing down the phone to compensate for cheap hardware. Then they ask you to pay for the replacement of said cheap hardware.

Those that were swindled applaud Apple and thank them for the opportunity to be swindled again.

Interdasting stratergery from the OP.

I have a similar experience. I was over at the service department of a BMW dealership and there were tons of people bringing their BMW’s in for repair services and warranty work.

BMW’s must suck!

They kind of are unreliable and require a lot of maintenance so yeah.

Especially compared to Mercedes, Audi, Lexus, and Porsche. They are more unreliable than all of those brands according to consumer reports.
