I assume it's easier for them to just sell the phones outright no? One quick transaction as opposed to all the work with the loan. Plus, the loan is 0% so it's not like they are making any money on interest?
Also, I wonder how big the iPhone X is. I'm used to my + so I hope it's closer to that size and not the normal sized ones.

They likely get way more buyers doing the loan thing, probably millions more if I had to guess.

Iphone X is rumored to cost $1,200. Going to be hard to justify that price without at the same time shitting on the 8.

Yeah outright is easier, X is inbetween plus and regular size.

I just can't bring myself to pay that much. My 6 has been a giant pain ever since my wife dropped it, so I'll be upgrading, but I cannot get on board paying that much for a phone. I would have held onto my 6 for even longer if it didn't start having so many digitizer, signal, and camera problems after the drop.

It's in-between, but I have serious reservations about going smaller than the plus I've been using for the past 3 years. Rumor is that an iPhone X Plus will come out next year, so I'm really torn on what to do.

I can do it and have debated doing it, I think I lose a lot of money going upgrade route.

Screen size is about the same as the plus though.

As long as its physically smaller. Really miss being able to single-hand text on my 6. The 6+ is just a hair too big.

How so? Think you would make more off selling it online than how much is left on the loan at that point?
The idea of purchasing outright and having it shipped to my door on release day sounds great. But at the same time if I'm paying the same price just monthly and NOW they offer delivery for the upgrade program. Game changer.
