Depends on your plan and if you get 2 year discounts. You should probably investigate it and figure out the costs that work for you.

I would say that getting rid of the headphone jack is a stupid idea by Apple, but it is brilliant.

I'm going to do the one time payment of ~$500 and extending my Verizon plan two years. I cannot stand have monthly charges come out of my account if I can avoid it. And you don't save money with the payment plan.

What about Motorola? Moto Z did it before iPhone. I think there is at least one major Chinese brand that has released one without it either. This may just be the beginning of manufacturers removing it unfortunately.

You're right. I havent used a set of headphones that weren't apple ear buds since I bought my first iPod in 2003. I have 8 pair now. I guess I'll just have to use the ear pods that come in the box. FML.

It'll be a nice day when phones are a few millimeters thicker to accommodate bigger batteries and not having to sacrifice on shite to make them as thin as possible.

So they come out with this awesome jet black color to only release a statement that it'll basically scratch pretty easily. What's the fricking point.

Scratching was the first thing I thought of when I saw that shiny black. Reminded me of my old 3G. The matte black looks badass IMO

Yeah it looks awesome. Wanted something other than the matte black. Got excited that jet black will be the one to go with. Guess I'll settle for matte again.

I think it's hilarious all the young people freaking out over losing the jack. It shows a bit about your personality and reluctance to change. The double edge sword living with technology is all the great new things that come out each month and the worst thing about living with technology is the constant change.
I too get agitated but I realize bluetooth is where all this is headed. I thought about buying the 6s because I'm ready to go for the larger screen. But why would a buy old technology? The new 7s camera and waterproof features are way more important than losing the jack. Besides, I don't have to worry about catching headphone/ear pod wires on things when i'm walking around.

I don't get this, no one wants the thinnest phone ever. If they made the phone as thick as the camera and filled it with battery in the new space, it would look 100x better and that bigger battery would be frickin amazing.

jet black definitely looks like it will turn to shite from a few scratches and fingerprints. I'm sticking with matte too. It's actually black this year, not that space grey garbage.

Exactly. I remember the same sort of outrage. "we've gotta buy all new chargers now and blah blah blah blah blah I'm so ANGRY"
I have had a iPhone for the past 5 years and just last month I switched to the Note 7. While I really really like the note 7 I miss my iPhone.
I already talked to sprint and I'm gonna use the note 7 recall to exchange it and get a 7 Plus.
Thing I'm gonna miss most is the fast charging. This note 7 charges fast as hell.
