Apple is beyond fricking retarded

My daughter needs to buy an app for school.
She doesn't have a credit card.
I tried to 'gift' her a fricking lousy $10 app store credit and it's been processing for 2 fricking hours. Oh and i purchased as a 'guest' which I guess puts me in the basket of deplorables section of the queue.
I don't want to add my card to her account I want to send her a lousy one time $10 credit.
Then I find out it will take 4 hours or more to process. fricking really? You can't put the $10 in her account right away?
I tried to cancel the order but it won't cancel until I sign in with my appleID.
Guess what motherfrickers? I don't fricking have an appleid.
So now I've spent the last 30 minutes watching a spinning wheel while Apple is waiting to connect me to a chat with 'next available specialist'.
I just want to go to bed.

I'm dealing with the same shite. I have an IPhone 7 in my office waiting to be activated and am in the hospital with my wife as our second son is being born in the morning. My i5 took a shite on me at 2pm today shortly before we were notified that we were bein admitted two weeks prior to delivery date. I cannot make a call out or accept a call.
They really screwed the pooch this last week.

No. it showed up Friday and I have not been able to free up to make the switch. That was all panned for this afternoon but the doctor visit and being admitted to the hospital came up after morning meetings. Worse case, I will have them change it over in the morning and bring it to me. We just both have family on the road tonight traveling for the morning delivery which is beyond frustrating. I've been running around getting our first child situated and have not had cell/ text/ or email when I don't have wifi.

I shite on Apple a fair amount, but attempting that given Apple's absurd app store bureaucracy (instead of just adding a normal payment method) seems like a recipe for failure.

Could someone in the office have messed with it. Sounds like the old SIM card may have deactivated because your new phone may have been activated.

Next time just run to your local cvs and pay for a Apple gift card. All she has to do is scan the barcode with her iphones camera and the money will transfer into her account. The way you were trying to do it would require her to have a credit card or debit card linked to her account, along with you having an Apple ID.

You create a Apple ID and add your credit or debit card to the account. If you don't want to take that route you can then purchase a gift card at Walmart. Just enter the code on the back of the gift card and magically the money transfers into your account. How can they make this any easier?
