Apple Event - likely new MacBook, iPads, etc

So far just the new MacBook Air announced.
I'm not really sure why they're refreshing it when this is basically a carbon copy of the new MacBook released in 2015 with just another USB C port (which would have been really nice.) Only thought would be if they're moving the MacBook to a bigger form factor again to beef it up.

innovative!
Are they finally putting USB-C ports on? maybe now aftermarket players will start making new usb-c accessories.

Yeah, I'll be getting this new iPad pro. I've had the big one first gen for 3 years. I want this.

Yeah same here. I may wait for a 20% off eBay coupon.

I just watched the IPad part but with the sound down. Any detail on that basketball game? That was very impressive.

A $800 iPad. I was looking at one but no way in hell I’m paying that

I paid that for the 64gb IPad Pro 10.5

Is there any reason to consider higher than 64 if you have the cloud storage too? I've got 2TB which is overkill, but I've never been brave enough to get just the 64 for phones.

I can manage 64 without issue. I sync my pics to Google

I'm thinking they will kill the macbook and just have the air and pro? maybe ditch the pro name?
There is no reason to buy the macbook now with the air specs.

Its a laptop replacement. If you want something to watch videos on, its obviously overkill.

It is confusing, maybe it's to complete the reshuffle?
As in, lower tier laptop previously filling the niche/cheaper/travel Air role - MacBook
Everyday, college student, most professionals role - MacBook Air
Heavy/advanced users - MBP
For a while the MBP had become the everyday Apple laptop for students, normal working stiffs, etc. so maybe this is an effort to get everything resettled?

This Air is literally the same form factor as the "new" MacBook from a couple years ago. That leads me to believe they'll probably focus on this and the MBP going forward. The "Air" name must have tested better than plain MacBook
