Is it? I haven't seen the new Air, but my MacBook is 12inches and I think the Air is 13.3.

I do agree that it's not much of a distinction overall.

And the ipad prices keep going up. Notice the 16 and 32 gb options disappeared.

Not really. These are the pro models which start at 799. I think that is very reasonable. You can still buy the basic ipads for less if you wanted.

I really want one but always thought they were a bit underpowered for what you got.

That ipad has a non laminated screen.

They are taking away the lower cost lower memory ipad pros. Frankly I don't need 64 gb. Don't even come close to filling up 32 gb on my pro.
