Anyone have experience with ATT phone trade in plan?

I just opted to get the iPhone 13 pro max with ATTs trade in plan.
I currently have an XR and I have to ship them my phone. I’m a little concerned they won’t honor the full 800$ bc I have some minor scuffs on the sides and near the charge port. Screen and back glass are perfect though.
Anyone do this and have an experience to share?

I did this last year with the 12 series. I purchased online but was able to do the trade in-store. I'd suggest going that route if you can. You'll know for sure if the trade was accepted or not.

Yeah I also did the trade in store for the i12 promotion they were running. Don’t remember having any issues going that route. I do seem to remember it took a couple of billing cycles before they applied the promotion to the bill.

Do not do it like that. Go to a store. I traded in my XR doing the online/mail phone in route. My phone lived its entire life in a case, was in perfect working order, no dents, no cracks. They ended up giving me a $150 credit instead of $700...

I did mine in the mail last year. I left the case on since I had no use for it and put some Xtra wrapping on it for protection. Didn't have any issues but I was definitely worried about it getting messed up during the shipping process.
Had a few scuffs from the case on the corners from over time and got the full amount.
Also took pictures before. You should probably do that even if you bring it to the store.

I'm just a big dumb idiot and buy my gear directly from the manufacturers. I'll take the gift cards that providers give for switching every so often.

I’ve always done by mail and never had an issue
Just did two upgrades last month and both XRs were accepted
