Not crazy about paying $99 just for that feature.

3rd vote for TeamViewer. It'll even unlock your PC when you connect with the app and auto lock when you close the connection.

Like the others have said, Teamviewer. Free for non-comercial use and easy to use.

Chrome remote desktop. It's free and easy to set up.

Was going to suggest logmein, but looking at their most recent price hike I'm still collecting my jaw off the floor. 350/year is nuts

Wow. Yeah I’m trying out TeamViewer right now and it works great on my iPhone and iPad. Perfect for times when I need to mess with some files since I leave it hardwired into the router in the room that my son sleeps in.

For shits and giggles I tried to play Civilization 5 on it and it actually works pretty well!

What BB said. I've used it for several years accross a few different versions of windows with no issues.

Yesterday I was sitting in the carpool like and decided to remote in and download a torrent and it was done by the time I got home with the kids.

So an issue I’ve run into now is that it says my account needs to be activated but I don’t get the email it is sending. I know I put the right email address in bc I got the individual device emails. It’s not in spam/junk either.

Anyone else have this problem?

Edit: After the 5th try I got the activation email.

thanks to this thread.

i was looking for a way to connect to my Win10 machine on my home network without exposing myself via port forwarding on my router.

i used RDP app before which was nice, but this is much better and more secure.
