I live in a small subdivision in Opelousas. When I moved in I was told no dsl available. It was capped and I was advised to try back later. I haved tried several times over the last 8 months with the same outcome. New neighbor moves in and gets dsl this week. I called back and I have been declined again. My wife and I have been on the phone with several people over the last few months with no luck. Does anyone know someone that can help with this?

Cliff notes. At&t is screwing me over. Can anyone help?

Go down there in person or steal your neighbors' Internet.

I have been to shop in person several times. I have tried bribing local employees. No luck. I frequently have to go in to work at night because of poor internet service.

well, that damn sure sounds strange...no reason why they would not want to sell you their service if it is available...

tell them that your neighbor just got service and if it is ok with them, you would like to just tie into his service...I'll bet they'll be out there before you get the phone hung up...

You either have bad credit or it's not available where you live. Only two options. Your neighbor could possibly have it and you could still not be available for it.

Make a stink on social media and twitter. If you're persistent, it gets results.

I've had an issue like that where they had my address not where it should have been in their system so they didnt realize I was at a spot accessible. Might want to clarify how close the line is. I would imagine when they ran the fiber-optics, they ran them through the entire subdivision.

Not sure what the problem is. I am surrounded by homes with dsl and I am being told no ports available. In response to earlier poster my credit is not an issue.

must be no ports open on your local POP. I'm guessing that between the last time you called ATT and when your new neighbor set up their service, someone else must have moved out or canceled their service.
