I got them to honor the Father's Day sale for me (when they couldn't even find one to order) when they came back in stock a few days later (to be fair, they still had the $1799 price up on the wall as well) - so I feel fantastic about it.

Yeah, you kind of do. I did the 2 year journey that started at Sony, went through a lot of Vizio, Samsung and Sony sets and ended up at the new 2016 P-series.

I'm not really sure how much of 480 or 720 I plan on watching. Everything would be through uverse, blu rats, or apple TV.

Anything not 4K uses the upscaler engine and everything you just named is not 4K so will be upscaled...

Well true but from 1080i/p I would imagine. I think the KS and P are at the top of my list and I'm just going to watch the prices on both. Thanks to everyone for the input

Oh and don't forget about the Android tablet as a remote for the P series, as I know you are an Apple lover, and your very own CNET review hated the tablet as a remote. I didn't know the P series had no smart tv functions, you have to cast everything to the TV from the tablet which personally sounds just awful (and I have a Chromecast).
On the flip side the magic remote or w/e they call it for the Samsung's controls everything and the Tizen OS is flat out awesome and incredibly quick/instant with a quad core processor. The instant resume feature (you have a PS4 right? Tizen has a similar suspend/resume feature with it's apps and saves where you were, even mid show to instantly pick back up where you were) is pretty awesome.

I'm gonna keep an eye on that KS8000 tomorrow. I doubt they'll have it on sale, but maybe some kind of discount. I'm leaning toward that one right now.
