I purchase them last week for 130. So I'm requesting the $40 from them

I also purchased the Samsung buds last week since I'm a Samsung phone owner, and after testing them both, I prefer the echo buds. Active noise reduction and sound quality were the tiebreaker for me. Giving the Samsung ones to my wife.
Echo Buds were much better during the flight. Which is when I'll mostly use them

I loved the buds. I compared them to my AirPods pros and thought they had better ANC and better sound quality. Since then, Apple crippled the ANC in a firmware and made the sound quality better.

I would not have gotten my pros if I knew the ANC was going to be this bad.

I would choose the buds 100% now if given the choice.

Found mixed reports. A lot saying that there was no change.

It’s real.

quote:

The most notable change, at least according to users, affects noise isolation. RTINGS says that the update to 2C54 bought a “fairly significantly drop in isolation performance,” particularly affecting the bass-range. After updating to Firmware 2C54, we retested the headphones and our results showed a fairly significant drop in isolation performance, primarily in the bass-range. This means that with ANC turned on, these headphones won’t do nearly as good a job blocking out the low engine rumbles of planes or buses as they did before this update. This review reflects these changes.

I'm trusting you.

Buying 2 pairs for the GF and I while the price is still at $90 bucks.

How are the "fit" though? Fall out?

The fit is great. Blus you get different sizes in case the ones they come with don't work for you.

I will say, the micro USB is a bigger problem than I had anticipated. I have a USB-C for my phone in the house, in the car in the office and in my work bag. SO even when I travel I don't have to worry about a charger. So having to track this charger everywhere is annoying.

Also, I could use "single tap" as a command. That way I have six different commands I can use (single tap, double tap, long press)X2. But the voice command ( I use google) kind of solves that problem.
But that's not an echo bud specific problem. The Galaxy ones are even more hamstrung because selecting a command on one ear bud forces a command on the other. But with the echo buds you have the freedom.

I agree.

Also, the ANC is amazing. I wore them while doing yard work, and I didn't even need to increase the volume with the mower running.

They come with some fins if they become a problem but they didn't need them day to day. If I did strength training and had to give stank face, fins helped them stay in.

Anyone have any experience with Raycon earbuds? Just wondering if they are a decent product.

Are they comfortable? I like the old apple earbuds, but the new round ones and the airpods kill my ear.

I currently use some cheap Philips ones that have been fine.

They seem to get terrible reviews on Amazon. Is it stupid people or a poor product?

My el cheapo Tozo's have been great. Of course I wasn't expecting much out of them for $40 and they met my low expectations. ANC would be a good add on.

Anyone looking for earbuds on a budget, I recommend the Anker Soundcore Liberty Neos.

What are your Echo Buds' EQ settings?

IDK if there is enough bass or too much. Trying to find an everyday use setting for podcasts and music (witch house/electronic/indie).

Considering a pair of these to replace my cheapie Bluetooth buds. I like the idea of Alexa and all of that. Can you take calls on them? I would assume so with the mic for Alexa. Also can I pair them to my Apple Watch? Sometimes I go without my phone because my watch has cellular data. Would be nice to take calls if I had to without looking like Dick Tracy.

Podcasts should be different than music but I EQ towards 1k-6k typically with a slight boost at 60hz and dip 100-500hz

EDM id do boost at 60hz, boost at 2-4K and dip a tad on up.

I like tight bass and almost no boom and that typically has to do with the headphone but those should help a little
